Thats the opposite of what I have heard I have seen speculation that Disney will sell off ESPN, ABC, and Hulu and then Apple would purchase whats left of Disney.

Now RG3 can move to Fox Sports, which is an even worse clown show. He struck me as an incredible phony even by ESPN standards.
At this point the onus is on as as consumers to read, and pay for, the writers we respect. ESPN is background noise now and prioritizes blowhards like Stephen A. and Pat McAfee who take up oxygen in studios and hotel gyms. Somebody like Lowe, who actually tries to talk about the game of basketball, doesn't have a place at a network that operates like old-school talk radio. I think ESPN knows that nobody sits down to watch their shows anymore and so they go for loud, frequent, "viral" soundbites from Stephen A. that can circulate on short attention span mediums like Twitter and TikTok. Lowe doesn't fit that business mode because he's smart and prefers deep dives into topics. I'll follow Lowe because he makes me smarter about basketball. It's for this reason that I try to subscribe to a few outlets instead of consuming soundbites of everything on social media. Nobody gets smarter via 140 characters.
