But you didn’t respond/acknowledge my posts bottomline: the Pace stat is not always a good indicator of up tempo play, and there are other available stats to add to the discussion.
fast-break points, shot-clock stats are better indicators since they are independent of the other team (see my post above). I looked at shotclock comparing february and march and february looked a little faster. In the end, I couldn't find much evidence to conclude that they were faster when sengun was out or that they were faster because sengun was out. Again playing faster was a theme throughout the season, nothing new when sengun went down.
And to add, Coach flat-out said increased pace was a point of emphasis coming out of the ASB. I previously posted the quote.
