Don't know but I'm sure he wants that paycheck. And, at some point, he has to get the credit he absolutely deserves. Pulled this staff together after such a terrible start. Got Kicuchi fixed and turned him into an ace after just about all of us crapped on that trade. How Hunter Brown and Spaghetti turned their seasons around has to be at least partially because of him. He's been through the stress. I think he deserves a shot.

I completely agree. As the season began I was pretty sure it wasn’t our year. I was content with the fact they’ve given me a run that in all likelihood no other houston team ever will. And then this. Resilient af. Doing this in any one year is special. Doing it repeatedly like this is just crazy. was thinking about when I was with my dad at the Dome when we clinched the division in 97. It had been 11 years since their last division title. Such a great night…and now we’ve had a ton of them, and then some. GO ‘STROS!
Was at the game tonight. I’m not going to lie, Pressly had me worried. Now that it’s over though, I have to say… The last 24 hours and that ending couldn’t have worked out any better. Gave the Mariners a sliver of hope and then pulled the rug out from under them. JRod striking out to end it was the cherry on top lol With KC and Detroit both winning today, Mariners are going to need a miracle now to get in.
Considering that no team in the league will win 100 games this season... getting the division with 86+ wins isn't really that bad.
