He was gifted a very talented team in 2022, so an idiot could have (and did) manage that team to a WS win. Other than that, he's pissed away a ton of talent over the years.
I am not illiterate. I only reserve that spelling for when the Asstros play baseball like a group of four year olds on a playground. They simply cannot hit good pitchers, which is why they will fail.
Valdez better throw a perfect game or, at least a shutout. My stats tell me that since the Mariner starter has an ERA of less than 4.00, the Asstros will not be scoring any runs. They will probably manage less than four hits. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but I can't argue with the reality that the Asstros can't hit pitchers with ERAs under 4.00. That probably has something to do with the fact that the Asstros are a bad hitting team when it comes to good pitching. Also, if they are going to prove me wrong and get the lead on the Mariners, Valdez better go 9 innings. Handing the game over to the Asstro miserable bullpen is a big no-no and is also something that should not be done under any circumstances. Hopefully, Verlander is long gone to some tropical island so Espada won't be tempted to use him in any circumstance except to throw batting practice.
Way to roll, Detroit Tigers, who won today; and who I hope will take a playoff spot from the Mariners, altho it will be difficult since the Mariners will be finishing on a 5-0 clip. This means that the Asstros could be the odd team out, if they really do go 0-7 to close out the season. One can certainly thank their crap closer, Hader, for one of those losses. The others will be solely due to the failure of the lineup to produce sufficient runs to win, as long as the opposing team can start guys with ERAs less than 4.00.
