British Brooks, who looked good running the ball in the preseason and has been playing FB and special teams, should get some carries.
I just found the Podcast and its at about the 7 minute mark. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Houston+T...i=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T04ef3PCEOI The phrasing is equal or better in turnovers, So they lost the turnover battle in 16 of the 35 games.
Caserio and Slowik setting up Minnesota. If Scruggs plays, we are set up for a Chicago style game with the promise of interchangeable backs working. Mixon replaced by Cam and Pierce replaced by Brooks. I think Stover backs up Schultz if he's hobbled. But this becomes a test of the OL running game as The Vikings spend time on shutting down the passing game.
There’s a lot of hype for this game tomorrow here in MN. With both teams 2-0 and also Danielle Hunter and Stephon Diggs returning. A lot of talk is about how Brian Flores schemes vs Stroud’s football IQ and Stroud is going. To be very tested with deceptive coverages. We saw last week how Purdy struggled and the Vikings are going to try to do the same to Stroud. Another story is that Sam Darnold has played a lot better than expected. He was brought in to keep the seat warm until they JJ McCarthy was ready but is putting up some very good numbers. He and the Vikings handled the vaunted 49er D well. I expect Hunter though coming back to US Bank Stadium will want to make a statement to the Vikings.
Can't really watch the game, but I'll go ahead and check this forum. That'll definitely tell me of we're doing well or not base on the hot takes here.
I really hope to start seeing more 20+ yard passes this game. I am actually surprised they haven't had more of those plays with the best trio of wide receivers in the league. Even with half our starting O-Line injured last year and without Diggs we were more aggressive airing that ball down the field last year.
Cashman more spectacular and Azeez more reliable. Cashman's biggest problem is availability over a full season. He's similar to Stingley in that way.
What I want to see is a RB version of Noah Brown stepping in for an injured Niko Collins in Cam Akers. Go off for a game or two and make people less concerned with a short term injury and coaches less likely to rush a player back before they're ready.
After looking at the Power rankings, I have come to the conclusions they are skewed by overconfidence in San Fransisco. They are NOT what they were. They are now second tier.
IMO, this is a toss up. Going to be tough to win in Minney. Texans will have to play better than they have in the first two weeks. Struggling against the Bears is concerning. And, the Colts are winless.
I hope Diggs and Dell show up. Last game they were both off. Diggs slipping at the top of routes, Tank dropping footballs. I am telling you, had Tank caught two of the 3 drops. That’s 75 yards and a TD! If Diggs didn’t slip at the top of his route… 30+ CJ could have very easily had a 350 yard 2TD extremely efficient outing against an elite Bears secondary. This guy is different! Let’s hope he shows face in Minnesota.
I hope you are right, but I have a bad feeling about this one. Darnold looks to be playing at a very high level. I am expecting a loss, but if we pull this one out on the road, I will be so fvcking happy.
No, I believe Akers, Brooks and maybe a little Dare will fill in well for Mixon/Pierce. Akers has the potential to be exciting if we can get him some openings. Brooks may be our goal line back.
