Been playing this one with the wife after getting it free with Prime. Pretty much a musical interactive novel, but my wife likes it, so off we go. Decent game, entertaining enough. 6/10.

Thanks for the recommendation. My wife isn't much of a gamer, but we recently played Oxenfree on our TV through netflix and she really enjoyed it. I think Stray Gods will be right up her alley.

I will have to run the game through my laptop though. Hopefully I don't run into any technical issues.

It seems pretty easy on the system but yeah, check just in case I'm wrong. I'll have to check out Oxenfree so thank you for your recommendation as well!

Just want to say the BG3 battle where you
fight Raphael was awesome. Yeah, I save scummed it a couple of times before taking him out, but the song/music was awesome. The fight itself was good. Much better than the weak Ketheric Thorm fight that was really disappointing.

Anyone familiar with the Dolphin Emulator? Apparently you can play a ton of N64 and WII video games on the PC. About to do my own research on it.
Been wanting to play some Star Fox.

I think it is illegal but it is made in China so they don't care, and no one will prosecute you for having it.

Can't remember if I mentioned it before, but I'm playing X4 again (with its DLC). Basically a space sim sandbox game:

I tried it at launch, and while interesting, it felt way too early. I jumped back again this year, and after playing for a while, I ended up hating it. Just too janky, confusing UI, dumb AI, and just annoyingly obtuse. The huge fleet of ships I built would just get destroyed by the AI enemies, and it didn't make sense to me. Of course it turned out I didn't have them equipped properly (and that sector had a nebula that damaged shields), but that's not something I realized at the time. Basically if you can't or won't put in the time to understand how this game works (because the game sucks at explaining things), you probably won't like it.

I put in more time and effort, and now I'm just loving the game. Something like 270 hours invested, and I'll probably put in a ton more. This game really scratches that space game itch for me, where I can just feel the scale of these huge ships and space battles. It can be fun just to sit on the deck of your battleship and watch the battle take place. Getting yourself a corvette class ship, which feels huge compared to the small fighter/mining ships you start with, then docking it on a carrier and realizing a corvette is actually *really* small. Oh I should point out I did add a few mods which fix some of the terrible aspects of the base game. So yeah, it is that kind of game too.

That battle was the highlight of the game for me. Agree on your spoiler. Game finishes strong by the way.

As long as you're okay with anything China is willing to do to your pc, then have fun!

Yeah, I'm almost to the final part of the game - just tying up some loose ends. I have to say if there were any parts of the game that was weak, it seemed like on "normal" difficulty the boss battles were kind of weak. It's like there were some non-mega boss battles that seemed a lot tougher than the mega boss battles. Act 3 also seemed a bit weird in terms of they tried cramming a lot of stuff into it as well as there were non-game breaking bugs with the storyline and interactions sometimes. It's still a great game, though. Probably one of the best I've played in a while.

It is a small device that plugs into your TV and plays old games from ROMs.
