    That is one ****ing good restaurant. I remember when my wife and I went we were sat right by the woodfired oven.

    Them oysters there are no joke. Such a good place.

    Not that shocking...you start small, get bigger, popular, then decide to expand, then you WAY OVER YOUR HEAD.

    Valentinas TexMex BBQ (one of my favorite bbq/taco trucks in Austin) did the same thing, had a great thing then got greedy, tried to open 2 or so brick/mortar places, and they just couldn't handle it. Now they're bankrupt, getting sued by the Dept of Labor and their former employees, and permanently out of business.

    Same with Ninfa's, but that was a bigger deal, and a total cluster**** that I could tell stories about

    Yup. Scaling up is very hard especially in the restaurant industry.

    Valentinas was solid. I usually stop by there when I am in austin. Bummed they had to close down.

    Just imagine if Mama Ninfa just kept the original one....at one point it was soooooo good but the bigger they got they just sucked, gosh last time I ate there must have been 20 years ago at the one on 45 down by Hobby
