Really enjoyed the first episode. I know it takes place after The Batman, but Oz feels a little different in this than he did in that movie. But I'm okay with that because he's already pretty intriguing and Collin Farrel just does such a great job. Also, I second what was said about that Miloti chick. She does a LOT with very little. Just some slight expression changes and she goes from looking friendly to scaring the hell out of me. She's gonna be a solid antagonist in this show, I can tell.
I've seen her in two things. This and Palm Springs. Palm Springs was my favorite movie of that year. I'm watching the rest of the show mainly because of her.
Did not expect to like this, but it wasn't bad at all. Colin Ferrel is maybe my favorite actor at the moment. He was amazing in Sugar. The fact that they arent doing an ACTUAL mob story means the characters can be a little bit more than 1 dimensional goombahs. Oz has a gentle side, which wouldn't fly if it was a true crime story about Henry Hill.
great pilot, mainly because Farrell is so compelling he can cover up any minor shortcomings - gender swapping the Falcone crime boss is going with the trend these days, but Millloti pulls it off as a more of a crazy person than a typical flawless girlboss - the sidekick kid felt very Marvel/CWish, but works as someone for Farrell to play off of
It's pretty damn good so far through 2 eps. I get Max "free" w/ ATT fiber, you should sign up for ATT brah
robert de niro and maybe joe pesci too may feel warner bros owe them some kind of fee the lead actress looks like cassandra petersen in the face. she's a bit tiny but i think she could be fun as a different spin of elvira
Sexy "villain" ladies are so sexy although everyone is a villain Colin Ferrell seems to have channeled James Gandolfini's depiction of Tony Soprano for inspiration
I've been a fan of hers since she popped up in Black Mirror a few years ago but this pseudo goth look works for her. I could totally see her as a new version of Elvira.....
If you're gonna gender swap, this is how you do it. Sofia is basically demented Mulan in this. Physically very weak but teeters on the edge of madness, has a drive given to her by circumstances out of her control and actually holds power because of where she comes from. Also has great intuition. The situation in the latest episode... Spoiler: Spoiler led her to teaming up with Penguin similar to how the mob had to team up with Joker in The Dark Knight. Really enjoyed the scene at the funeral with Penguin telling her the story of his mom and how dancing got her out of her depression. Seemed to resonate with her. They have a good chance at doing something amazing with her character....let's just hope they barricaded the writers rooms doors to keep all the wokies out.
