Right or wrong, due to his 3 years of failure, he'll need to show something in his first 30 games or so because that's when the team has to make the decision on him because the trade deadline is after only 40 something games.

Probably the same "research" that says WS/48 means anything, which is why we should all be crying our eyes out at losing the GOAT: Boban.
Boban was incredibly efficient. He also had clear limitations that limited his minutes. Comparing WS/48 of players of more standard archetypes with more mintues is more meaningful.
Nonsense, no metric means anything because math is a "Jater" and is clearly biased against draft busts.
Winshares in general are not really well regarded in analytic circles. But hey if they were that means 2022-2023 Jalen Green was a better offensive player than Ant Edwards(he has a higher offensive winshare than Ant that season)
I'd really like to see the numbers on pace for each time period, (with and without Sengun) I just don't know where to find that info. Think it would be interesting to see if there was actually an increase in pace or if that's just the perception driven by the results. There's also another aspect - did rebounding decline (or opponent rebounding percentages increase) minus Sengun in the middle? Those are added possessions for the opponent ... Pace doesn't necessarily increase efficiency, particularly in that case. Nothing happens in "isolation" on the court .... everything that happens affects something else. Ball goes in the hole, its easier to defend the next possession .... missed shots lead to fast breaks and so on.
Clinging to post-ASB success is a scary proposition. Same guys that would buy stock in KPJ and Christian Wood year after year after year. I’d be weary of anything Post-ASB, especially with the schedule we had.
That's interesting. When was KPJ and Wood second in player of the month voting? The last non all NBA player to win player of the month was like in 2019 with Tobias Harris so incredibly rare for a non high end talent to almost win it and he lost to a bear historic month of Luka. 13-2 with the best on/off pt differential impact in the NBA over a 15 game stretch is something Christian Wood or KPJ sniffed? .can you show this month then?
They didn’t have a faster pace. Slightly different shot profile but pace wasn’t a discernible difference
I remember looking at those numbers. I don't remember the specifics but I remember the rockets playing much faster as the season progressed, rather than the pace depending on certain players.

There's a difference between player scouting and Cub Scouting. Go see if you can earn a badge for being a good boy around the campfire and leave talking basketball to the rest of us.
In Senguns Rookie Season Sengun averaged 20 mins per game and the Rockets were 2nd in the league in pace. I think there's more to pace than just one player. In March they were 6th.... BUTTTTTT...... Even though they were 6th in March their Pace only increased by .28 from their overall season Pace...which is negligible. And also, in February when Sengun was healthy the Rockets Pace was 101.75. Their Pace actually slowed down when he was hurt in March. People get on the internet and say anything without actually looking at stuff though. IMO, Pace had nothing to do with Jalen's March explosion. For one, he started playing well when Alpi was still healthy. The quality of teams dipped a little, Jalen shot an unbelievable percentage from three which completely opened up his game and he got more touches and chances to initiate since Alpi was out and he was scorching hot.
Never understood that as Alperen is essentially good at being a trailer and release valve. Jalen just ran the heck downhill during March, credit goes where credit is due though.
