Every time a modern republican tries to take credit for Lincoln an angel rips their wings off and shoves them into their eye sockets

If you have to go back to Lincoln, you have lost the argument and your wits.

Morons don't know the parties switched directions several times since then....

Oh, and Jesus was a SOCIALIST......imagine that GOPers.

    I like it.

Political speech as protected speech is one thing, but Americans have constantly loathed how paid ads are filled with deception and ugliness. It'll still be there, but with penalties to deepfakes.

I'm sure there are workarounds like making it so ugly that the media will lap it up and air it for free, but the law itself should be questioned and talked with the wider public over the boundaries of deliberately fraudulent political speech.

No. They said "leftists". Lincoln was indeed a leftist.

I wouldn't call Lincoln a leftist. If we were to compare him to modern political standards he'd be a milquetoast liberal. There were plenty of people during Lincoln's time that were far more "woke" in their ideas of racial equality but those sentiments were not in the Overton window of acceptable politics that would be allowed to be run on in the majority political parties at the time. Just like today there are many leftist sentiments that are not in the Overton window in terms of ability to get elected in a general election. For example the left's view on law enforcement is rather different than the milquetoast liberal. Leftist for example today cringe when they are the DNC run the "protector Kamala" line because leftists believe the judicial system is fundamentally flawed and that pretty much all career protectors are part of a bad system.

So Lincoln for his time was a moderate liberal basically.

I used "leftists" in quotation marks for a reason. These people are out here calling Obama, Biden, and Kamala "leftists", so I kept with their nomenclature.

What could be worse than assuming Osama bin Laden didn’t rape anyone ever? Libertarians are a strange bunch…

That's nuts. If Libertarians could stick to the old we are fiscally conservative and socially liberal shtick they could win some people over. But they get these autistic Ayn Rand weirdos in positions of power who only understand simple rigid arguments. Bin Laden - good, Lincoln - bad. Cringe.

At this point do we just throw musk into the maga camp..............I get so tired of people tweeting something so dangerous that turns out to be not true, even when debunked maga sheep still think it's true no matter if the truth does not fit their narrative. I wish musk would stick to making rockets and let the crazies do the tweeting
