Okay, so, this isn't related to the product on the field, but to the actual game day experience at NRG Stadium

We are season ticket holders and have been for three years. We've observed a noticeable shift in the focus of the entertainment aspects of the fan experience. Whereas you used to hear big snippets of Country music as the team would run out of the tunnel, that's almost entirely gone.

Regarding the Texans cheerleaders, I don't know who is doing their choreography or choosing their routines now vs. years past, but there's been a huge drop off. It seems that nearly every routine now has them strutting around to some rap/hip-hop music and trying to look hard and tough. I don't particularly find it entertaining to see them come out in baggy pants, or doing the H-Town gang hand signals that's so prevalent in the Houston hood culture. I'm sure somebody involved with them thinks it’s a good idea but it looks pretty ridiculous to see these cheerleaders trying to emulate a backup dancer in a Houston rap video. I even saw Toro the mascot with a diamond grill at halftime.

I'm a supporter of diversity, but please let's be fair to all. Particularly, let's not marginalize those of us that make up the bulk of season ticket holders. My family and I are white and hispanic, and we really feel like, in trying to appeal to those enamored with Houston hip-hop culture, the team has really stopped trying to resonate and identify with us.

Please don't label me racist for pointing these facts out, for it's not a racial issue. Even my successful african-american friends have mentioned that its a bit ridiculous and overboard at times. Successful, mature african-americans that I know are into that type of garbage. It's kind of disappointing that at a time when the team is on an upswing, the arena fan experience has suffered.

We have maybe the best team in NFL with a franchise qb, coach, and GM but you’re worried about what music is playing? Lol this has to be a joke.

Do the cheerleaders do other dances besides the garbage you don't like?

Lol country music sucks anyway. Based on your description it sounds like the experience has improved tbh.

I'm tired of white people feeling alienated because they hear rap in public or see a dance they don't like. Get over it. The rest of us have suffered through all of that corny countrified crap for years in silence.

This a classic case of main character syndrome-induced internet whining. Give me a break.

Their contract with Clint Black expired and Paul Wall said he would do it for 1/2 price.

I'm disappointed I didn't remember, especially since it felt oddly familiar.

Ok fine, I'll say it, time for Clay Walker to hang 'em up, and, no, I don't want to be told to go read his Wikipedia page.

This new tradition has grown on me. I hope we're the first team to play a game in Spain. Are we back to yelling everyone's last name again on intros?

I love Houston Rap but bringing out guys who have not had a hit in close to 20 years when you literally had a current mega star fire the cannon seems dumb.

I like the mariachi band and in general whatever they do if the Texans are winning people will love.

We can argue on music but I love having an in stadium DJ

    Bring it back.

A stadium filled with deep steel blue pom poms waiving in unison to the old Oilers fight song (replaced with Texans, of course) would be amazing.

We should come up with a slogan very similar to Luv Ya Blue yet just different enough not to infringe on whatever copyright the titans have on it while still totally trolling them.

Sadly, don't think they could even if they wanted to. Pretty sure the Dolphins own it now.

Edit: Miami actually had it first!

I remember when I first found this out. It was like my whole childhood innocence was gone.
