Right wing gun nuts keep trying to kill Trump.

I'm glad they haven't yet succeeded yet. A much better fate for Trump is repeatedly publicly humiliating him

Like, I loved it when Harris wrecked him last week at the debate. It was great. He even knew it was happening!

I love it when he melts down over crowd sizes or Taylor Swift or whatever.

I love seeing his barely cognitive face looking all hangdog at his various criminal and civil trials and then sputtering with rage after

I want to see him lose - again - in November, which he will.

Exhaust his appeals for his various convictions.

    Be incarcerated.

Have his assets seized to satisfy his various judgments and debts.

Die of natural causes, preferably in custody.

with liberty and justice for all.

Let's remember that when guns are used to kill kids, it isn't guns it's mental health (for which Republicans refuse to fund treatment).

When Republicans want to kill Trump, it's the fault of Democrats for pointing out Trump's own actions and words.

Of course the point of those starting these messages isn't really to gain Republican voters, it's to make people believe both sides are bad so they stay home and don't vote at all.

I especially love how JD comes out yesterday and says the Dems need to tone down the rhetoric...................same playbook as trump, play the victim when you're the one actually gaslighting America. maga playbook 101, wash rinse and repeat

No - assassination attempts are terrible. It isn’t funny and it isn’t a sign of a healthy country.

Don't think we should say that Trump is a danger to the country any less, but should probably say political violence is intolerable a lot more.

Political violence certainly is beyond horrible. Trump getting killed would be tragic, however, he would not become a martyr because there is nobody that can replicate his shtick. He is one of a kind and his exit from politics, in whatever way it happens, will cause the right to shift to center.

I wish I could believe that. I think you're right that no one will replicate what he did. There is some chance that someone will emerge to take Trumpism to the next level, though also possible they can't find a personality to coalesce around. But, no way that our politics just snap back when he's gone. The neocons are not going to reclaim the Republican Party. Trumpers will remain Trumpers and they will be looking for the next guy that can push the nationalist agenda.

Good luck to us all. I may be overly optimistic but if I’m wrong we are ****ed. We truly are a nation in decline if we can’t pass through this…

    I don't know. It's the saying I've used before.

    They don't trust anyone
    But they'll believe anything

The republicans just need to embrace reality and all will be fine. The absolute disregard for truth has to stop.

Trump is the only one so far who has gotten shot at.

So, who is "playing the victim"?

Interesting convo with a really smart physicist who said "I think I know what happened with that first attempt and the bloody ear."

He said, in terms of ballistics and a bullet moving that fast, it has an intense pressure wave traveling around it like a little envelope, and though it would be super rare, he was wondering if getting a bullet come super close to the ear (like just a mm or 2 away from actual contact), could pop a few capillaries and spill some blood without then creating a more familiar type of wound that would leave a scab and possible longer term damage. Just an interesting idea of why there was blood but then his ear looked totally fine a short time later.

It’s less the news channels than idiots relying on basement dwellers tweeting “news” from the frontlines of their fever dreams.
