Never understood the appeal of any of these sports where you get up close and personal with another dude (obligatory unless you are into that, and then there is nothing wrong with that disclaimer, yada yada). So yeah, homo - yes (not that there is anything wrong with homo disclaimer) - erotic - no. Boxing - yeah - it doesn't really make sense as a sport from a medical perspective, but I can see the appeal.
I've never liked MMA. It all stems back to an episode years ago when I went to some BW3's hoping to watch a Rockets playoff game and they had every TV on some UFC fight and refused to change any of them. They finally put me outside all by myself and I ended up just leaving because it was so depressing.
I’ll watch UFC fights when there is an interesting striker like McGregor or O’Malley. I don’t really enjoy fights that end up in a lot of BJJ style grappling either. The fight between these two this weekend was very entertaining.
I can tell most people here haven’t done grappling sports. When the other person is trying to pin you, break your arm, or choke you out and you’re doing the same you’re not really thinking about getting aroused. You’re thinking about how do you survive that moment.
All I can tell is most of the posters on this thread ain't fought anybody in their life. I've seen huge muscular dudes get wrecked by small guys and it is hilarious never seeing those dudes come back, both in grappling and striking. Short of being willing to stab or shoot people (good luck in court if you weren't being home invaded!), it is clear most everyone posting on this thread would also get wrecked one on one. That being said, yeah, it's gay. So is football for that matter.
I have zero experience in grappling sports, but what is a dude supposed to do if he gets paired up with an attractive woman? That has to be somewhat uncomfortable I would imagine. I understand that it's about surviving once you are in it, but if it's a "no gi" day and I had to roll with somebody like Ghi Eburneo I would have some difficulties.
