It depends on what you mean "as good as Booker's 4th season" because I don't think Green will get Booker's usage. Dude had his career high in usage that year. I mean you can see it with him averaging over 4 turnovers per game. And it led to a 19 win season. Green will be on a team with much more talent where usage will be more distributed.

So don't expect him matching Booker's totals of 26 PPG and 6 apg. If he can get to 26 ppg this season on a team with this many mouths to feed and the team is approaching 50 wins then I'd say he'd have a season better than four year Booker by default based on that context.

Booker had a 58% TS% in his 4th season despite shooting a Jalenesque 32.6% from 3... by far the worst 3 point shooting season of his career.

If Jalen manages a TS% that good, it'll go a long way towards saving his career.

I'm saying matching Booker's counting stats and shooting splits but yes it would obviously be a more successful season.

We can give a little more leeway with the ppg but I think Udoka plans to feature Jalen more often and play more uptempo. Wouldn't be surprised if Green hit 25ppg.

I’m not really into the personal attacks and insults, don’t see the appeal.

    We need some news here.

The pages keep increasing, drawing me to check in often. But, alas it's always the same drivel.

Instead of booker or KD let’s try to get Beal . He would be cheaper than book . Obviously caveat is if Jalen isn’t playing well then we should trade for Beal but if Jalen is playing good then this whole thread is for naught

September is pretty boring, there is news about players stepping away from the game, legends pass away......

Not my cup of tea, paid my respects.

You are out of your mind. You guys are overrating the crap out of booker. He’s not that good. He’s at best a number 2.

If the wheels fall off in Phx this year, I'd offer VV, their picks and a future 1st for DB at the deadline. They'd be able to waive him, clear all that room, retain their picks and get a future 1st.

    Jalen, Reed
    Booker, Cam
    Amen, Brooks
    Bari, Tari
    Sengun, Adams, Landale

That's not a very good starting lineup.

Jalen isn't a PG at all AND he can't shoot, so you have 3 non-shooters on the court at the same time.

Jalen did plenty of playmaking last year. Between him and Amen at the point foward, they'd be very dynamic.

But man I'm perfectly fine going forward with all the core and growing organically. With the addition of some vets last year they exceeded expectations and that's with a short time trying to install a new coach's system.

    They're going to be fine.

Agree 100%. It reminds me of when we gave up too much to sign Barkley years ago. Just stupid to not only give away the young stars but future draft picks. No way should we mortgage the future in one player, let alone a guy that. Any carry the team. That would be Morey-esque.

And he would not be a hindrance to them tanking either, get rid of everyone outside of Booker and play him like in 45 games and load manage.

They would win 23-24 games......lmao.....keeping Booker is no obstacle.

It was a different time during the rebuild and KPJ at 22 was better than Jalen at 22.

So what's your excuse for CURRENTLY wanting a draft bust to run the point?

Man, giving Porter the keys on the "pg experiment" was a joke. If they were actually trying to win that would have never happened. They wanted to lose and this is why he was the true tank commander. In 3 years, he never improved at running a team.

Also, I know we've gone through this plenty of times, but if you think Porter was better in his 3rd season at 21, compared to Jalen's last year in his 3rd AT 21, you're wrong.

.... then the fact that KPJ was better at 22 than your guy was at 22 says what?

We picked up KPJ out of the bargain bin.... we wasted the #2 pick in the draft on your guy who is currently a worse player.

It's fine to point out the obvious flaws in the guy we got essentially for nothing then dumped for non basketball reasons.... but it's odd that you are so quick to point out those flaws in the then 22 year old guy we got for nothing.... then immediately get on your knees for a 22 year old lesser version of that guy.
