Magic number is 10 w/ 27 games left. ( 14 for Astros, 13 for Mariners) If the Astros go 7-7, then the Mariners must go 11-2 to take the division. Astros still have 5 left vs Angels and 3 vs Padres before the series vs Seattle. If Astros can go 4-4 they will have the opportunity to clinch in that series, regardless of what Seattle does in their 7 games.
For sure. All we have to do is make up 1 game on Cleveland and we control our own destiny. I’m her for trailing by 3 headed into that series. Would be fun.
If the Astros swept the Mariners we'd have the tie break. The Astros could go 3-10 (I'd rather not) but if those 3 were against the Mariners they'd have to go 8-1 in their other 9 games to get us. Sort of interesting.
Entirely feasible and realistic. We need 9 wins. With 15 games to go, at current .540 wining percentage, that's 8.1 wins. However, we all know that the 'Stros have won much better than that clip for several months so spotting another game is easy. However, it's baseball with baseball gods, slumps, other bullshit so I give it even odds of happening. I won't say anything else for fear of jinxes.

We got this. Division is ours. Astros will go 2-1 over next 3 games (SD-L, SD-W, LAA-W) while the Mariners will go 1-2 vs the NYY. That's 5 games up with 9 to play, meaning if we go 4-5 the rest of the way Seattle would have to go 9-0. I'm trying out this new "faith" thing
