Meyers seriously needs to be only the 9-hole hitter. He can't hit the ball and he has zero plate discipline.

Every one was having great at-bats and then Meyers laid a steaming turd at the plate.

 

Verlander's fastball looks peppy, but he hasn't thrown a strike.

 

It amazes me that Baked Meyers hitting .136 in Sept is still playing regularly.

 

Verlander is throwing more balls than strikes.

 

Gamel is a better hitter and can work the count. He was doing well in the middle of the line-up. What is Joe's reasoning for batting Meyers ahead of him?

JV is continuing his suckage too. Lately, all he's doing is giving the other starters an extra day off.

Hopefully the bullpen isn't forced to cover 6+ innings tonight.

I don't think Verlander is going to make it tonight. Make it a bullpen game.
