2 Springfield medical sites among bomb threats Saturday; city working with FBI (springfieldnewssun.com)

Two major Springfield medical facilities were briefly on lockdown Saturday morning, adding to the long list of area facilities to receive non-credible bomb threats in the past three days.

A statement from the city of Springfield just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday said “several” community facilities received bomb threats Saturday, and all were investigated and deemed secure.

“It is important to note that the threats received in Springfield this week have not been substantiated and may be indicative of ‘swatting,’ " city officials said. “Swatting refers to the act of falsely reporting a serious emergency, such as a bomb threat, to provoke a large-scale law enforcement response.”

Springfield city officials and police said they are working with the Dayton office of the FBI “to thoroughly investigate and trace the origin of these threats.”

I don't "get" anything out of the picture. I was curious to know if the reports are true that Haitian migrants are killing park geese.

We know that this photo was taken in Columbus, Ohio, near to Springfield, Ohio, in the summer of 2024. We know that area of the country/state has parks with geese. We know 10s of thousands of Haitian migrants have been settled in the area. We know there have been reports of what people thought were possibly Haitian migrants having suspect interactions with park geese.

It's possible the person photographed is a Haitian migrant. I've never been to Haiti but I've seen pictures/video purported to have been taken in Haiti and this person looks like he could be from Haiti based on those images. Statistics will also show the population of Haiti is made up of 95% people of African descent. Now, it's possible this person is from Nagasaki, Japan or Moscow, Russia or the Moon but those places seem less probable to me.

Why is this person holding two dead geese in July in urban Ohio? It's possible he hunted them and then was walking home with them. Though the photo was taken in July and goose hunting season is in the winter; he is wearing no trappings of hunting in the photo, has no shotgun or any other indicia in the photo he was hunting. The notion you and @Nook have put forward that this is a hunter walking home with his catch strikes me as ridiculous and I think you're both being disingenuous when you make that assertion but if you want to operate in bad faith suit yourselves. It's also possible the prophet Mohammed descended on his flying donkey and delivered this gentlemen two geese. It's also possible those were park geese he found dead and is taking to deposit somewhere. It's also possible he killed the geese at his local park and is walking home with them.

If this person is a Haitian migrant killing park geese and taking them home it could be an individual thing or it could speak to a cultural acceptance/practice of such actions. People from other areas of the world often have different cultural practices.

The photo is not definitive proof of anything [other then what it clearly shows] and I never claimed it was. I simply asked for an explanation of it, if anyone had one. I didn't see a formal explanation as of the time I posted yesterday afternoon.

 

Those numbers are of the people that are already in the hole, but the number (%) of people that are just getting by is probably way higher than that. By raising the cost of living across the board (rent, groceries, insurance etc.) by 30-40%, you can't expect that most people are gonna be able to match it. Yes some will simply make more money but on a scale of things no. Essentially by getting rid of the middle class (if it continues like this), is a usually reflection of a 3rd world country, not saying that it'll happen here but its an issue that needs to be addressed. America needs a strong middle class n vice-versa.

None of the rumors can be corroborated with official authorities, meaning all the Karens in Springfield and Ohio state havent clutched their pearls hard enough before Vance blew up his own state with xenophobia, scapegoating and paranoia.

There could be new developments but the pictures you have aren't enough and aren't even related to the initial batshit claim.
