Who said he ran a 4.2 40? I don’t believe that one bit

I think the kid is a superb athlete but those numbers seem a little hyperbolic

Honestly, with as effortlessly as he jumps in some vids without seemingly going all-out, a 44" vertical wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, but the only "official" vertical I've seen for him is a 40" vertical at the OTE Pro Day, but maybe I missed something. That being said, all his other numbers from that Pro Day blows almost all NBA player numbers out of the water. But then I don't know if I can rely on OTE Pro Day numbers much. It's a shame he these high draft picks don't draft in the combine measurements other than maybe the anthrometric stuff.

In general, NBA players are nowhere near that fast. Football and even baseball players have better short sprint times by a lot.

This is an old reference but I remember Clyde Drexler ran a 4.3 40. It surprised me because it didn't look like he was that fast on the court. Most of our 1% athletes are NBA players imo. Lebron ran a 4.3 in high school. Jalen, D Fox look like 4.3's to me. I could be wrong but Amen looks faster than both.

No one runs laser timed 40s in high school so those times aren't accurate regardless. I ran track with a few people in high school that ended up playing cornerback in the nfl. They said they were timed at 4.3 in high school, but ran high 4.4 at the combine. Laser times are much different.

    Lebron never ran a 4.3.
He himself has said he’s ran a 4.5/4.6

Clyde was always fast to me on a break. The dude had afterburners. And radar since he never looked up/forward when he was dribbling on the break.

I found that article. Guess my memory was off. Same article stated that Fox Westbrook and Ja all ran 4.3's. Still think it's possible that Amen is faster than they are. No biggie either way.

I really thought that Tilman was hyping Amen up, but I think it might be true now after watching his rookie season and hearing he might be even faster and stronger this year. I think the best thing is that Amen has all this athletic ability, is coachable, high BBIQ, all the intangibles, and good size and positional strength for a guard

They aren’t vertical athletes but all 3 of those dudes are incredibly strong which is vital to their success

All of these posts about guys running a 4.3 40. It’s comical. 4.5 is fast 4.3 is absolutely special speed. Every athlete can’t do it. Folks need to get a grip.

Lol highest jumper doesn't mean best athlete.

Jalen and Amen have a lot more agility and acceleration
