Speaking of birds. Gary bird Mathew, and Bruno Fernando were shipped to ATL the year before. ATL is becoming a repeating trade partner for the Rockets, even if they are smaller deals.

Will be curious if this GM relationship will turn into anything down the road. If we are to slap a label, I'd give ATL the 'w' on this deal.

I think he's not dedicated to basketball which is fine. It doesn't make him happy. Simply a talent he was blessed with. Hopefully his life going forward is successful. He's by no means a bad person

And his father has been an NBA player, it is not necessary to have an All NBA family.

On the bright side, this will open up a roster spot for Royce White.

Wouldn't be surprised AJ Griffin wants to smoke or do drugs, Avoiding Suspensions.

Really happy to have the super extra religious stuff out of the locker room, the more I think about it.

Glad he's taking care of his health. Not that hard to stay in shape for a year or two if he wants to play his way back into the league after some time off.

Can't fault someone for taking their mental health seriously. I wish him luck. I think he can make a great NBA rotation player if he really wants it.

I don't think it's that hard to understand Bona went 41, we had the 44th pick, adding a future 2nd or two would have gotten it done.

I didn’t think we needed another developmental prospect. I thought the value of the Griffen trade was adding another shooter as well as a walking $3.5 mil expiring that could be aggregated towards trade. To my mind that was better than trying to use the pick. But it didn’t work out. I can stomach the loss of a mid-2nd round pick in a questionable draft.

We should've just drafted Jamal Shead

Maybe, but Philly might want to keep him dearly as an unexpected talent that fell to them.

I get that, but you missed my point.

    Doesn't matter now.

Glad he’s taking care of us as he was not a good fit and really sucked in summer league. Rockets should have kept that pick and taken the UH player who is a class act.

If we liked anyone from 31 to 43, we could have just bought a pick for cash too. We didn’t, though.
