Wow, that left money on the table that he will NEVER get again. His reasoning has to make sense to him. He could have collected a check for an other season and invested it, setting himself up for the future. Probably cost him more than he will ever know. Basketball has blessed him and just he walks way.
If you suck (in this case probably not having the mental strength) at NBA basketball and have anxiety issues, then it is a horror of life..... You cannot buy yourself peace at heart with said million only medication....but that is not healthy over time.
Yeah, but I’d rather had given that shot to someone who WANTS to be a good NBA player. This guy was never it. So he should quit and get a 9 to 5.
**** him. Ship him right away. No more putting kid gloves bullshit. He was so selfish this summer league
But honestly, there are a lot of guys that go undrafted specifically because they won't agree to signing a 2 way. We can still get a 2nd round quality player.
What a heartless response to someone struggling in his personal life. Congrats on being the king of the assholes....
I was hoping for a bounce back yr when we traded for him . Had high hopes for him . He was projected to be a high lotto pick the yr he was drafted but fell . Oh well lost a 2nd rd pick .
Good for him. We should all be rooting for people to be happy. Takes courage to make a change. If your heart isnt in basketball find out what you want. My big question is, do we lose his $3.5 mil expiring salary slot for trade purposes? That basically had become his value anyway.
Perfect trade: AJ - Jaden Spriger. Rox take flyer on JS instead of AJ; Cs save (what,) 12 mil and still retain rights for when AJ returns.
What are you talking about? Those players don't have the leverage to say, "i may quit." If they quit, they lose millions of dollars for nothing. Only star players have the power to hold teams hostage by threatening to quit.
If they found out later that playing the pro game is triggering to them and they cannot uphold it ........ Millions do not matter to them as it does to us normal dudes until they found out they are broke.
we lost a 2nd round pick AND had to pay millions in this year’s salary anyone have the actual figures on how much $ we saved thru the buyout?
