Right - which is why the ploy that the Trump supporting social media used, that Harris is a silly and dumb woman, was so odd. The bar was very low for Harris - people had heard for a month or two that Harris was lazy, a party w****, a DEI candidate... that she lacked any intelligence, that she was a pushover and that she was afraid. Then the debate takes place - and within 15 minutes she is outsmarting Trump, manipulating him, managed to discuss policy and also boxed Trump in on some issues..... it calls into question the entire tact taken by Trump and his team.... he clearly doesn't know how to fight her yet and I don't know if he will in the next 60 days unless she screws up (which is certainly possible). There isn't going to be an earth shattering change in the polls - Trump's 46% has stood with him through everything, and losing a debate in September won't change that - but it does help Harris in that her support is likely less fickle that it was before, her 48% is likely more comfortable with her, and her performance may have brought in some non-voting women.
LOL So this woman, who voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 - who claimed she was undecided, is now going to vote for Trump in 2024. Amazing.... this clip is making social media though.
By early Wednesday morning, multiple Trump aides were telling Rolling Stone that their boss did not perform as well as they wished, that Harris had exceeded expectations, or simply that — in the words of one of the sources — getting Trump onstage for another debate against Harris is “not a priority” for the campaign and its candidate right now. A person close to Trump who was in Philadelphia on Tuesday simply told Rolling Stone Wednesday morning, “bad idea,” when asked if Trump should debate Harris another time.
