    How will the debate go?
    Any new policies?
    Will either win hands down?
    Any last minute shenanigans?
Will either candidate get a boost?

Lets not forget Trump ended the career of the last person he debated.

No new policies. Both candidates will play it safe. Harris will be bland and cliched and kind of boring, Trump will likely be rambling and unfocused.

There will be many online takes that a particular candidate won hands down, trying to convince the undecideds of this fact. I'm not going to try to predict how exactly that shakes out, but my guess is we don't learn anything new of significance from this.

My vote is locked in, either way.

Do you have a life at all? Y’all need some hobbies besides election denying and committing insurrections.

I don’t think it will be similar to the debate with Biden and I certainly don’t believe Trump
Will end Harris’ candidacy. I also don’t believe it will be a Harris knockout. I think it will show Harris capable of standing up to Trump while Trump will continue to attack and lie. Both sides will claim victory and it won’t make too much difference in the polls.

I think it will be closer to this. I think Harris will get some zingers in but it won’t be a substantial.

I will also state again that I think the bar is actually lower for Harris. Given how bad Biden did. Harris doesn’t need to convincingly defeat Trump but just show she can stand there against him without looking completely lost.

Trump will ramble, make **** up, talk about how life has been so unfair to him and do everything in his power to tie Harris to Biden. He'll talk about World War III, China, and that the country can't possibly survive if he's not elected. He'll say that he was so good to Blacks and that the Mexicans and terrorists Kamala let in are stealing everyone's jobs, and he'll bring up how Kamala has changed her position on fracking and can't be trusted. He'll lie repeatedly but deny it forcefully, and MAGA will hoot and holler afterwards that he won when he didn't.

Kamala will come out swinging, deliver the best zingers of the night, talk about herself, her values, and the America she knows. She'll have Trump on the ropes early and often, but will stop short of a full knockout and leave people a little disappointed because of it.

We are 1 day from Harris/Trump debate.

Polls out: currently 2.3% national from peak 4.3%.
To put it in perspective, Hillary won at 2.1% and Biden won at 4.5%.

Hillary and Trump both lost by 74 EC points. Roughly speaking, Harris needs to be at 3.3% to be a true toss up.

Harris needs a bump tomorrow or she is done.

    The debate will go fine.

Trump is terrible- but expectations are low for both of them. Trump cannot possibly do any worse than he has - 45% of the voting bloc is voting for him no matter what.

    Nothing terribly interesting will happen.

The candidates will be the same after the debate.

Liberals will complain that Trump lies and Conservatives will desperately cling to anything Harris said to use in their social media circle jerk.

Trump didn’t end the career of the last person he debated - Biden ended his own career - Trump was garbage in that debate but no one talks about it because the Grim Reaper was hovering over Biden’s shoulder.

Both candidates want to do well and need a bump. Harris doesn’t need to do really well - but it would be big for her. The same is true for Trump, he does poorly and she gets momentum again and Trump is in trouble.

I wouldn't want to debate Trump, it's like debating a toddler because he has zero expectations of decorum or meaningful discussion. You can only hurt yourself like Biden did because Democrats have actual standards and expectations.

Democrats always get excited for a Trump debate because he will be "exposed", but he's already exposed. He always acts likes an embarrassing dumbass. His people not only tolerate it, they seem to love him for it as long as he's "owning the libs".

Exactly. You could argue that Trump is so bad he can't help himself in the debate - his voters are his voters. The only ones switching to Trump would be people who changed their vote if Kamala does poorly.

People know who and what Trump is by now. A demented, sheister with horrible morals. You're either voting for that, or you're a decent human being and going to vote for someone that is not that.

If you're already informed, there won't be anything new. The typical ClutchFans user in this forum isn't her audience.

This debate really does nothing for Trump. He just needs to be his typical lying self and no one will think any different of him. He would really need to go off the deep end for people to wake up and smell the coffee. Its a party issue, and no matter what small percentages of Republicans come out in support of Harris, it really overall does not change the landscape of things. I'm ready to accept a Trump win again and just hope that Harris has enough to give a boost to down ballet candidates.

I predict that Harris will have a couple very obviously rehearsed lines that her fans will yass queen over even though they're lame as hell.

I also predict that Trump will bring up Biden multiple times because he's still pissy that he can't run against Biden anymore. Trump fans will know this comes off as pathetic but will ignore the part of the brain telling them so.

I lastly predict that the moderators will be OK. Definitely not good, but they will almost meet the low expectations people have of such mainstream news individuals nowadays.

Trump didn't end anyone's career. Old age of Joe Biden did. Donald Trump has his usually unhinged incoherent rants and also stayed silent when he needed to. Nothing special about Donald Trump would make someone's career end except Jeb Bush.

Jeb Bush is probably the only guy where lowest common denominator insults from Trump actually worked in the sense of ruining one of their rivals.
