Obviously CJ Stroud is more well rounded and most importantly way more accurate, but ARs QBR was higher yesterday. We are lucky we controlled the time of possession because we werent really slowing them down. Indy was trying to sell out to stop the pass and we swarmed them with Joe Mixon. I dont see "luck" when a guy is throwing a 60 yard dot off his back foot after nearly slipping. Same for his other TD it was a damn laser and hit his guy in stride. You just tip the cap. The tape goes back to last season. Im glad we held him to only 19 pass attempts, but he also gashed us in the run game with 10 yards per scramble. He will have a short shelf life as most mobile QBs do, but in that time he will be a handful.
Not really bro, they got lucky on that punt being blocked. Personally I see CJ owning this division like Peyton did. His rival will be that trucker from KC like Brady was to Manning. But thats just me
Thats football. Were you feeling confident that we would prevent that offense from going down the field to kick a field goal if Nico doesnt make that highlight grab to close out the game?
The Texans fully sold out against the run and still Richardson couldn't really take advantage of it. What I will say for Richardson is that yesterday was his 18th start since high school... so what he might become could be a lot more than what we saw yesterday. Right now he's not a competent QB but if he can stay healthy long enough to get some experience, maybe that could change.
Exactly, that’s what I’m saying, I’m not gonna destroy our secondary just because they have a guy who made a play.
That dude is fast af n he's got some hands, on the first one he just left 'em in the dust, on the second one he made a great catch, nothing you can do about that
I'd like to know the PFF for DL. I remember more plays with Derek Barnett than WAJ. Just wondering if his ankle was still giving him a problem.
I'd like to think it was the ankle but he had some big plays on run defense. The colts have an incredible Oline. Braden Smith is one of the best RTs. 83 grade last year.
I am waiting for some sort of official statement about the end of the first half and why the clock wasn't stopped. I did rewatch the ending, and I did see (after the Indy timeout) they cut to a ref talking to CJ towards the sideline and he clearly told CJ "the clock is going to be winding." So in the refs defense, whether they were right or wrong to run the clock, the team was told and should've run the FG team out there right away. I think the key screwup in that entire sequence was the refs reducing the game clock from 15 to 5 seconds. If the review took place after the Dalton catch, that was at 15 seconds. So just spot the ball and start running the clock from 15 seconds. It makes no sense they took 10 secs off and THEN starting running the clock.
