I would say 50-50 is closer. Saying it's 60-60 would mean winning or losing more than 60 is extremely rare, certainly less than every season on average. In the 3 full seasons since COVID, 5 teams have lost less than 60 games and 6 have won less than 60 in a season.
McCormick hitting .333/.368/.389 in 5 September games so far this month. Would be huge for him to come back to life.
Would be huge. Funny thing is he barely had any time in the minors. So short turnaround on making adjustments. Good on him thus far.

I saw somewhere where if the season ended now the Stros would play the Twins in the first Round. The Stros have a losing record against the Twins this year but the Twins are slumping badly.
So at this point I think a tough conversation will need to be had with Verlander. He's had a first ballot hall of fame career working predominately off his 4 seamer, but at this point in his career I simply don't think that will work anymore. None of his pitches have the same bite, and his stuff by todays standards is just meh. He's an absolute gamer, and I think his stuff is still good enough to get people out, but will he be willing to tinker this late in a season (and career)
