    I had no idea he was so dominant. 23 gold medals, no athlete is close.

    I still view Carl Lewis as the greatest Olympic athlete but it's no doubt who the most dominant is

    Phelps was a beast and Carl Lewis is on my Mount Rushmore......................My favorites were Mary Lou Retton and Nadia Comenichie (sp?) who was really the first Olympian that drew me in to the games.
