I was gonna say when I looked this up, he's 69 now. So he probably traded his soul to the devil for his body and he's aging fast.
With him being 69 and Stallone being 78 - I'm wondering if there's an age where hopping on the sauce is a net positive. I mean, compare this to the average 70 yr old. How is this not better?
I believe things like cardiovascular problems and cancer go way up when you're juicing at an advanced age. So accelerating death would seem like a pretty heavy boat anchor in the negative column that would be hard to overcome for most people. Normally there is a huge increase in bad cholesterol levels when you're taking steroids which hits a little different at 20 vs 80. My understanding is basically everybody will get prostate cancer if they live long enough and adding testosterone is basically pouring gasoline on that fire. Maybe the equation different for actors who get huge paydays to offset increased risk of death. How many millions would you require to increase your chance of getting and dying from prostate cancer by 25% over the next five years? Certainly wouldn't do it just to look hawt for the old ladies at the retirement village. There are also some behavioral changes that would probably come along. 'roid rage in an 80 year old sounds terrifying, mostly for the elderly 'roid user, but probably also for everybody who has to be around them. You're body goes into power savings mode when you get old to keep you alive longer.
