I've been to three of their concerts and I should have stopped at the one they had in 2004. I lost total interest in this band. It's not worth the money to see these guys. I will say though, I believe it was 2000 Buzzfest, they killed it that year. Probably one of the best Buzzfests ever. The buzz sucks now and so does Rod Ryan, Teresa (although I would bust them guts), and pretty much everyone else.
I used to love Linkin Park, during the Hybrid Theory days. You know what this sounds like? Chester can't take all that screaming anymore. The man is getting old, which probably is the reason for all the softy music.
Yesterday, the Prodigy, opened for LP. Anyone familiar with the songs they played? The first song in particular. Would be greatly appreciated.
uhh, it wasn't "The Prodigy" that opened, it was Paper Tongues that opened for them good show btw, last minute purchase to go, was happy they played their old stuff and maybe half of their new album, which was a good thing for me
Fun times, finally made it inside as the LP set started, and enjoyed every minute of it. My voice is gone. I am not Chester. #shreddedvocalcords Considering they've been my favorite band for the better part of the past decade, it was fun seeing them in concert as a spectator (and not a "yellow shirt") The new stuff is growing on me, at least the songs they played. 17 song setlist and 5 encore songs if I remember correctly. Good times. Downloaded the San Diego performance since it's the same setlist while I wait for them to put up the Houston one on the site.
Too bad he doesn't try at all on that "youuuu tried to take the best of me, go away" compare the way he sounds now to 2003. its kind of sad. no wonder they make sucky music. I do like Blackout though off of ATS, and everything else that is pre-m2m
I like a couple of radio head songs from their commercial album but the singing just reminds me soo much of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sanrFTAu1Mk
Guilty pleasure of mine since back in the day. New singer I like for the most part in terms of talent and the voice that fits the music. However her past support of Danny Masterson is an unfortunate distraction though. Also being a Scientologist will just become too much of a thing the band has to deal with in the future if they continue on for the foreseeable future. New song though I like and want the band to succeed. But not super optimistic especially given that two band members now have turned down returning to the band after the new singer was brought on. Should be an easy sell to at least do one new tour but seems to be a lot of drama behind the scenes. Bands and their chemistry are tricky things. It’s a marriage for sure and touring and the stresses in the studio really put a strain on even the best relationships. Good luck to the new makeup of the band and hope the new album is really good.
