Where you might disagree though is funding from the government should either not exist or be extremely limited -- whether it's funding for the medical procedure or assistance if she chooses to have the child (welfare, housing, and child support). The children should be joint custody by default in the first place.

Women control access to sex and whether or not a child is born. Accept the responsibility. Choose men that won't be deadbeats. "Marry before you carry" is another way to increase the chances of better outcomes.
