I feel for this father as I am sure this brings back terrible memories. Thankful for the LEOs on scene today as it sounds like they made a ton of difference.
I don't knows we how the kid got the gun or what type of gun it was, but if it came from his parents I hope they are held accountable too. Georgia is ranked 46 of 50 in terms of the strength of its gun laws, describing the state’s policies as some of the weakest in the nation. Adults in Georgia don’t need a permit to buy rifles, shotguns, or handguns, don’t need to register their guns with the government, and don’t need a permit to carry rifles and shotguns.
I don’t have to worry about this since I’m sending my kid to the private school I know will have a politicians kid there You shouldn’t have to do any of that in the United States based on the constitution
I never thought we'd have politicians posting Christmas cards with their children holding AK-47s, or people buying their kids shirts that day F*ck Biden either or Harris is a Ho, but this is their mentality these days. Arm up and teach your kids vulgarity and hate is ok.
The officer speaking on the news was saying something about them looking into who the gun was registered to. Here's the problem with Georgia's loose gun laws. I agree with this.... "We need universal background checks and we need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, require safe storage of firearms, invest in violence-prevention programs and pass a national red flag law. Enough is enough," Jean-Pierre told reporters. Everytown estimates around 54% of gun owners do not lock all of their guns securely, with 4.6 million children living in a home with at least one unlocked firearm.
So much virtue signaling in here like always. Even if we repealed the 2nd amendment and banned the sale of guns in this country tomorrow [which nobody advocates] it would take generations to become anything resembling a relatively gun free society like we see in other countries. This country is swimming in 400 million guns. But, yea, some half-measures you advocate for is going to end or severely curtail mass shootings.
Both parties have failed us. I don’t know what the solution is. One thing I always hear after a mass shooting is someone says oh yeah that kid was weird. Whether a classmate, neighbor, teacher, or even parent. Why can’t we be more proactive when we see warning signs? This 14 year old was a problem. The FBI spoke to him last year! No one did anything. Now 4 people are dead. I read that the kid gave up once he was engaged by an officer. What a p***y. How about take a bullet and feel what it must have felt like for the kids who bled out? I also believe in prosecuting the parents. Sorry you raised a pos who has no redeeming quality to live in society or prison - I have no sympathy.
