President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) expressed his pride in being called a communist and a socialist during his speech at the 26th meeting of the São Paulo Forum in Brasília on Thursday, the 29th, writes Brazilian outlet BSM.

Lula criticized the right wing and their attacks on the left, stating, “They still accuse us of being communists and socialists and think they offend us like that. That makes us proud.”

Others, like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and Olaf Scholz and Angela Merkel know that the "communist" label has a negative connotation in their countries, so they avoid it - but they are allied with communists like Maduro and Lula, and they are cut from the same cloth. They cannot go as far as those guys go, but they will use "climate change" and "pandemics" and other pretenses to steer their countries closer towards Venezuela and Cuba.

Higher taxes, more bloated government, eradication of free speech and civil liberties.

There could be other factors if there's a disparity (ie experience, competence, hours worked/overtime etc).

Often, those who deny inequality either fail to recognize the fairness others seek or, in some cases, benefit from their own privilege and want to maintain it for personal advantage.

 

Modern society has given certain people equality when it's convenient, and privilege when it's not.
