I was told by many on here the Mariners are going on a TEAR without Servais. Turns out they just suck instead??
I thought that was a bit overblown of a reaction, too. Sure, it was POSSIBLE when they fired Servais but I didn't think it too likely.
The manager by himself does not affect the game on a daily basis as much as most suspect as long as the manager plays the best players most of the time. The entire coaching staff in majors, minors, and development staff...sure, but one person, no (well GM who put them in place should get a lot of credit).
