This poll would be better served with 5 options. That being said, I'd say a slight advantage to Kerry.
Just to add to this. According to the quick polls that have been done, Kerry won the debate but didn't sway votes. As i said earlier, i believe both guys did what they had set out to do. I thought Kerry had good points, with some good one liners and so did Bush. The race has been a dead heat and will remain that way until the end.
Kerry. Bush was horrible, that's all there is to it. The thing is, I don't think Bush can improve, and Kerry has just begun.
Kerry did very well in a format that heavily favored Bush. In a real debate where they could ask each other questions it would be brutal for Bush. Bush looked ADD when he couldn't say a canned speel.
It's funny to go to conservative forums right now and watch the Bushies proclaim complete and utter victory supreme over all things not Republican after this debate.
Just wanted to make my vote: Kerry won. Period. Anyone who says otherwise is clearly doing some heavy duty wishful thinking.
I'd say that Kerry won, too. Bush made two major mistakes in my opinion: 1. He kept hammering on Kerry's, er, "position relocation." At this point, that is beating a dead horse and 2. He made the Gore-like mistake of facially responding to Kerry's criticisms-- grimacing and chewing his cheeks et al. I'm sorry but Bush does sort of look like a chimp-- especially with those facial expressions!
I would say Kerry did a better job in the debate. He looked like he rehearsed his scripts better than Dubya did. I thought they both sounded like parrots. I thought Kerry's answer to being a flip-flopper was transparent.
Bush sounded like Will Ferrell's impression of him. His stumbles were in a word: hilarious. Kerry, while slick, said nothing of any substance and continued his stance of "I've got a better plan" without being specific on what those "better" plans are. I thought that "global test" remark will be an albatross for him.
