Tell that to my 50 employees who are making between 50-75k waitressing and bartending. I have more applications for those jobs than we can respond to. This is the work they are qualified for. If i had to pay a $15 minimum to them without off-setting tips then I would be bankrupt in a year. In order to make a profit of a penny, I would have to raise prices x 3 and nobody would go out to eat.

Small business employs 46% of the workforce in this country. Your comments are beyond insulting to entrepreneurs who provide those jobs in spite of all the headwinds created by elitists like yourself. Of course, I’m sure you’re ok with eating out, having your lawn cut, going to convenience stores and grocery stores in spite of their heartless owners who are keeping their poor employees in their place. Do you cut your own hair? Are you willing to pay 3x what you are paying now for that service? I’m in the trenches with my employees everyday and try to make their lives better in every way that I have the capability of providing. Don’t lecture me about wealth inequality when I doubt seriously you are as involved with keeping food in the mouths of these folks that have not other way of making a living. You may sneeze at 50k a year, but every one of my employees has a roof over their head, a car, and provide food and shelter for their families.

Energy prices for transportation has been through the roof for most of this administration and yes much of this is due to fuel costs. Inflation was not a trump issue nor was illegal immigration. Only when polling indicated that it was a priority for the voter, did democrats start to try and stem the flow. The inflation rate may be slowing, but inflation prices of goods in the first 3 years did not go away they just aren’t growing as fast. Every article that was posted in argument to my comments were from one of the liberal sources, cbs, cnn, pbs, etc. Kamala and Biden have both tried to blame our immigration policies on Trump. Only blind sheep would believe that.

Almost a third of the country can be short on rent from a bad month of car repairs.

Ya, a large percentage of Americans are being employed in jobs that require 50+ hours to sustain basic cost of living suppressing time from raising children or self impr0vent in skills to advance past their station in life. Which is the ultimate irony of the weird JD Vance rhetoric of women should be breeding and homemaking. The economy is literally forcing women to work 40+ hours.

Your anecdote of how you pay is irrelevant and frankly at face value not credible to the median annual salary of a full time waiter at 29,000. The upper 75 percentile make 36 grand. So that would mean you run some Michelin star restaurant in Manhattan to adjust to a cost of living to shell out those wages to your waiting staff.

America has a fetish with waxing lyrical about the wonders of small business owners. The vast majority of small business owners create low wage labor jobs that help suppress upward mobility in this nation.

The information countering claims you were making isn't about the editorial part. It is about factual data such as how much energy production is produced in the United States. It's about the actual data of border crossings, etc.

I'm not commenting on the content, and I for one salute you as a business owner, truly. ... But you sound amazingly like Colonel Jessup in that paragraph (ref: A Few Good Men). That's actually kind of cool. :D I hope you will tell fchowd that he "can't handle the truth!"

Eh, I gotta quibble with some of that. Agree on inflation, whether or not that has anything to do with who's president. But who's actually drilling more? Who's actually detaining and deporting more people? The answers might surprise you.

But what Harris and others have blamed on Trump, at the border, is just this: nixing the recent bipartisan border deal, and according to Trump himself, that is true. He told members of the house to obey him and vote against a deal that they helped craft. So that's not a matter of "blind sheep." The government, with a bunch of people from both parties, was finally going to do something, but Trump literally said it would hurt his election chances.

Prices never go back down. That's how inflation works. The prices are here to stay. It's the rate of change of inflation that is what constitutes whether we are in a inflationary period or not.

Businesses increase their prices in inflationary periods and customers get used to those prices and businesses have no incentive to go back down.

I prefer his policies to those of his opponents. There are significant aspects of his personality I don't like, but on balance, I believe his opponents would be much worse for the country and the world.

His "policies" are **** too. He's simply incompetent but dangerously disillusioned with his abilities.

What is Trump's "most beautiful healthcare plan the world has ever seen"?

All he does is complain and b****.

Tell me what are his POLICIES brother.

What's his plan for fighting inflation? Tariffs? Hahahahahaha

What policies? We saw his border policy. He is NOTHING. He deported less than Biden and Obama. He never built that ineffective wall (his supporters grifted and went to jail for do it). The parts of the wall he is claiming now were built by Obama. His economic policy is cutting taxes for the rich and saying the money will "trickle down", which we know is Bullshit. Biden's Inflation Reduction Act and Chips Act have brought manufacturing (including tech manufacturing) back to the US. Infrastructure projects have started to rebuild crumbling roads and brides. Trump didn't re-build ONE bridge as President. What policies?

Hilarious Trumpers keep talking about liking his policies when he has no policies.

Repeal ACA and replace with a new healthcare plan? What's the ****ikg plan?

Fix the border? He had four years to fix the border. Why couldn't he?

He had four years to build the wall that Mexico will pay for. Why did he only build 3% of the wall in four years?

And you idiots think he'll magically fix everything if he's in office lol. Trump's track record is ****. He didn't accomplish **** in four years as president.

And don't give me that "strong economy" BS unless Trump directly influenced the economy- through policy. Trump inherited Obama's strong economy. And Biden inherited Trump's covid mess.

    Let's use Trump logic:
When the stock market does well. Not a peep from Trump. (Stock market isn't strong because of Biden/Harris)

When the stock market takes a 2 day dip three weeks ago- immediately Trump started ranting it's Biden/Harris' fault! Lol

When the stock market recovers back to all-time highs, again not a peep from Trump. LOL

Again, give me Trump's policies and legislation that directly influenced the economy. And we can debate.

They're literally insulting black people, just like Biden when he said "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black".

Biden probably had early dementia for much longer than we know. I mean, it's obvious now, but...
