Limited sample size due to his recent injury, but I think JV has had more bad starts than good starts this season. His command is significantly worse than last season and his velocity is down slightly. He's had difficulty getting "quick" outs. I'm not concerned about his velo (it's still pretty good especially for his age) but the command is a different story. I hope it's just rust and not "father time" knocking on his door. Even if he does improve between now and the playoffs, he's probably no longer a T.O.R. starter, and he should be kept on a short leash.
