This year? No, but I did expext him to be one of the 3b candidates if Bregman leaves.

At that point, if you look at the pre-Bregman era, you have a ceiling of Luis Valbuena, Matt Dominguez, and Chris Johnson.

    JAG’s to the max…

Let’s see what Wagner’s numbers are after the league has had a chance to see him.

I’m assuming Dezenzo is the presumptive 3B next season if Bregman leaves. Sound right?

Brice Matthews sounds better…first 50/60 guy…. (Based on current minor league extrapolation!)

Bloss will be a Cy Young contender for the last few years of this decade, but as you say it seems worth it today.

I'm assuming a shortstop with a plus arm should be able to transition easily

On Baseball Reference it lists him as 2B, SS, and 3B

He's been getting starts there at AA this summer. I have no idea how he's doing.

Based on his power numbers, steal numbers, and his draft profile, seems like an athletic freak.

People say stuff like this all the time and it is baffling. How is it an overpay? You don’t have any idea what the Blue Jays would have accepted besides these three guys or what other teams offered. I mean even taking out the impossible nature of knowing how good minor leaguers will turn out…when you bid on anything and win…that’s the cost.

I will bet you a $1000 Bloss never gets a Cy Young vote in his career. Or any amount you want.

This would be the best outcome, but it won't be next season I don't expect.

Although Dana does push some prospects...?

I just can’t fathom having any negative response to this trade at this point.

Brice will not open the year on MLB roster, but by mid-season? I think he'll be out starting 3B by the end of next season if Bergman leaves. I kinda hope he isn't because it would mean Dezenzo and/or Whitcomb are good enough to block him.
