Interesting that even with his recent errors, the Astros shortstops are top 4 in the league playing well better than league average. And Pena has the overwhelming bulk of playing time at SS. Plus Pena is 2nd in complete games at SS (finished 133 of 135 games started); meaning he is elite defensively and he isn’t a liability on the batting side of things. Errors stick out like a sore thumbs, but amazing gold glove caliber plays easily are taken for granted. Perhaps Pena needs a little rest because he’s played a lot. Maybe he’s banged up, like most of the baseball players. But he’s proving he’s an iron man out there.
Tuve looks like the kid who just got the game winning hit and Yordan like the proud papa--LOVE IT! This photo captures the beauty of sports in the crazy world we live in.
He's blocked in the infield by the main everyday guys. I think he should spell Peña more often though. Maybe twice a month at SS would probably do Peña well
Soreness is expected due to natural biology. If you haven't used/pushed certain muscles over an extended time frame, you're gonna be sore after exerting those muscles. September 9th still seems very doable.
Do we have any medical doctors on here? His injury must be misnamed; doesn't make sense. Sounds more like a fracture.
