I agree. I want the helplessly overoptimistic trade props - not giving away our your core + picks. Hopefully, by Christmas the value of our young players increases enough(because of improved play) that we can get back to saying "Amen for Booker straight up."/s.

Amen is untouchable. The only fans that want him gone are Jalen cultists, Sheppard cultists or really bad at assessing talent.

Can Booker be a 1A on offense? I know that he is a good shooter and efficient. I just don’t know if I see him as a guy that is going to create a bucket at the end of the game. But I also don’t watch him that much.

At some point you're going to have to choose between Amen, Cam, Tari, and Jabari.

Jalen might be packaged with Cam, if the latter doesn't make much progress by the February deadline. I do like Cam, but he might be the odd man out.

Amen, Cam, and Jabari aren't going anywhere.

If you're talking about prying Booker from the Suns, you'll need Fred to match salaries.

Booker has been Phoenix's 1A since his second year and has never gone below league average in efficiency.

I mean if you’re gointo trade for Booker you might as well center the package around Jalen. There’s no room for two ball dominant shooting guards. That’s the issue Phoenix has now

Before the season started, people like you were shocked and chagrined that people thought Amen might not come into the league as a ball handling guard. People like you thought it was an absurd claim that a guy like Jalen was a better ball handling guard than Amen. Can you acknowledge it was a disappointment that the optimal role for Amen was playing a glorified Clint Capella role by the end of the season?

Amen currently has such a massive hole in his game now that it makes the coaching staff have to be creative in making sure there is some semblance of floor spacing when Amen is on the court.

To say he's untouchable is absurd. He's untouchable in the sense that he just finished his rookie year. A fourth overall pick never is going to get traded right after their rookie year unless they are an abject bust and Amen isn't anywhere close that obviously. But in some ways he has been disappointing. He's been disappointing in the sense that what he was sold as before his rookie year is quite different than what we got. We were sold a lead 6'8" ball handler with elite agility and got a dude with Trey Murphy level handles. The way people talked about Amen when we drafted him was basically "more athletic LaMelo Ball without a jump shot". I wouldn't care so much about his very bad jump shot if we got that LaMelo Ball level on ball ability in terms of handles and creativity.

No doubt Amen has great defensive potential. But don't pretend rather he was somewhat disappointing in the sense of what he was sold as. I was promised a lead guard. I got an athletic rim rolling wing who is the opposite of a floor spacer.

Amen could very easily be in the trading blocks after his third season. Remember he came in older also than all of the young core besides Tari. Jalen Green and Amen will both be 22 years old in January.

He obviously isn't now because the dude just finished his rookie campaign. None of our guys are untouchable. We haven't drafted a Ja Morant type player who showed "untouchable" levels of production by their sophomore year.

Because of injury and Ime stubbornness both Amen and Cam got less experience than they should have. Multiple sources have said Amen is the guy the Rockets front office is highest on. He will be our starting pg on offense next year. If we acquire Booker, Jalen will be gone not Amen. He is untouchable as the future superstar the fans have been crying for.

Why? I think a combo of Sheppard, Amen, Smith, and Sengun makes a lot of sense.

You forgot Jalen. We will be able to afford three rookies maxes. Sengun and amen are locks in my opinion. That leaves Jabari, Jalen, and cam to fight it out for the third. I don’t know if it’s an advantage or disadvantage, but Jalen has to earn it this year. Tari is a career superb bench player. We don’t know anywhere enough about Sheppard for him to be in the discussion.

At some point, because we cant keep everybody, true. But, this coming year, Green and Sengun are the only guys we have to make a decision on.

I hope you are right about Amen but don't label others as stans or onlyfans or whatever if you are lacking the self awareness here.

I think more reasonable optimism for Amen is him being a all defensive team level dude with some secondary playmaking ability off of close outs and rolling to the rim in most situations. That's a all-star level player.

But you are in stan territory yourself if you are this certain he will be a lead ball handling superstar. That is the highest end outcome for Amen. His best case scenario

And to me a stan is someone who assumes a player's best case scenario is the certain path that is guaranteed.

Sengun stans think the Jokic outcome is all but guaranteed

Jalen stans think hom reaching Ant level is guaranteed.

You thinking Amen will be the default future superstar lead ball handling guard on the team is a certainty is stan territory.

This is true but stone is going to have to make trade decisions this off-season in preparation. Waiting until the last season can lead to losing valuable assets for nothing.

And then Stone will be left holding the bag.
