How many shows will they last before they freak out on each other and cancel the tour?

It's not a true reunion tour unless they're fighting on stage.

Saw Noel on a vacation a few months ago, he sat next to us pretty much every day for a week at breakfast. Not an aggressive loudmouth in person at all. Basically, a polite, older, "working-class" (in British eyes) gentleman who talked to his concierge about his dinner reservations, etc. He was by himself the entire time.

i also saw noel on vacation when i was between very important meetings in davos with very important people. he sat next to me and my imaginary family every morning for a week and was like totally cool. i saw him drinking a gin and tonic and i asked him if he was feeling supersonic and we all had a good laugh then he asked if he could sit with us and i handed him my guitar and he played wonderwall while my imaginary children were eating their pancakes.

trolling aside, im glad this is happening just so people will stop f***ing speculating about it all the time. its going to be difficult to live up to all the hype and liams voice aint what it used to be. we shall see...

i wonder what the band will be? original members or the later period? ride has been back for awhile now so andy bell might not be available...but that oasis money would be hard to turn down.

so the reformed "oasis" is just noel and liam with noels high flying birds as the backing band. its not the classic line-up. theres two later-period oasis members in his band, but no dudes from the first two albums other than the brothers.

this reeks of a cash-grab on the gallaghers part. reminds me of when black crowes got back together a couple years ago...it was the two brothers with a band of hired guns.

I tried to do a search and can’t find any info on who is going to comprise the rest of the band. But it really makes no difference at all because almost nobody cares about the rest of the band. That said, Gem plays guitar for the high flying birds so it’d be pretty surprising if he wasn’t involved. There’s 3. Oasis has gone through multiple drummers so who they use now is of no consequence. Oasis is the Gallaghers.

Of course it’s a cash grab. But there’s also a generation of primarily British fans who never got to see them live. So cash grab or whatever, it’s going to be pretty sweet for a lot of fans.

i read it was gem and then the HFB keyboardist, who was a touring member of oasis.

i agree that its about the brothers, but it would feel much more authentic if it was classic era getting back together.

if they tour the states it will probably be to their biggest crowds. even at their peak they were an arena-level band here as opposed to stadium level in europe. i could see them doing 20k plus venues now. they will probably have multiple 100k plus shows in europe/UK.

I think there’s probably a zero chance at the mid nineties lineup but I think a real shot at the 2000s lineup sans drummer. That’s authentic.
But again tickets are for the Gallagher brothers and any other 3 people.

Agreed. It’s going to be massive outside of here but even be here now tour was arena in the States and that was near the peak. I’d guess a reunion tour is about the same.

The boys are going to make an absolute fortune off this reunion -- ticket prices must be insane.

reports are that bonehead is in on reunion. so 3 guitars or either him or gem switch to bass?

but in more exciting news, looks like new music is out too!
