Tampa “missing all their good starters” and the Ms offense puts up 2 hard hit (95+ mph) balls all night, 17 Ks and the 2 runs they did score were gifted via a throwing error and a misplayed bunt. But @tehG l i d e said the Mariners “got the juice”, huh?
Mariners loss, thank goodness. Win tomorrow. Take 3 of 4 from a sizzling Royals team. 5 game lead Monday morning. You're welcome.
I was originally going to put it that way, but either way works for me. I just want to see a lineup with all those players, since Tucker is still hurt.
Felt a bad stretch was coming after being hot for awhile and a rough part of the schedule. Hopefully that means they’ll get hot down the stretch going into October. Will probably not make it to 90 wins or the 2 seed. Really wanted them to avoid the WC round
Begging?? No.... Astros fans are *hoping* Seattle loses, same way they're *hoping* Tucker returns. As of now, Houston (the most injured team in baseball) are still 3.5 games ahead throughout all the madness -- and the Astros are the historic Dynasty. Seattle fans need far more *hope* than Astros fans. Seattle better *hope* Abreu bypasses a DP and throws to 3B instead, and opponents hit multi-run HRs 6" above the zone. Seattle better *hope* an OF misplays a liner and allows bases-clearing for a walkoff. Astros are just experiencing a slight rut right now. Chances are, it won't last and the Dynasty will prevail. Astros will be the Vegas favorites entering the playoffs.
Dam that loss hurt, The Phillies are dam good and were in a small funk. We have lost a few games over the past week that we should have won but that's baseball, ebbs and flows, we just need to get on a heater at the right time to take us to the post season. I hate watching for the Mariners to lose every time we do but it is what it is. The new kids seem to be fitting in nicely and I think JV is in spring training mode and needs to tinker with his command, hopefully he turns it around in a few more starts and is vintage JV when we get to the post season...................and good Lord, get King Tuck back, 3 months for a bone bruise is long enough
Jose Siri might have just completed the slowest lap around the bases in the MLB season. His own teammates were encouraging him to go faster as he rounded 3B -- lol.
I'm not overly concerned. The last two games we have pitched Ronel Blanco, who hit a wall about 6 weeks ago, and a pitch count-limited rehabbing Justin Verlander... against Wheeler and Nola. We were heavy underdogs in both games. The pitching has been excellent. Even last night, Verlander should have been out of that bad inning with no damage had strike 3 been called on Turner. Instead, he gets a hit and two batters later, Castellanos hits a 3-run HR. I am concerned about Bregman's rash of strikeouts recently -- especially in key moments like the top of the 10th on Monday and yesterday again with runners on. I never want to see Victor Caratini play first base again. We need a new player to get hot -- Whitcomb, Gamel, Dezenzo, maybe Hayward... to give the lineup a boost. The pitching is excellent... the defense is pretty good... the offense is not championship caliber right now.
The Phillies have lost the last eight games when Walker starts, preparing for a perfect game today...from Spaghetti. Please get the dub today for my mental health.
