This is a very good sign. I thing one key to his consistency is better stamina. Strength will help, considering his game. He also mentioned this as a goal. It’s also a good sign that this might continue to the point of being as strong as Ant in a few years…meaning not the Booker build, because he intends to attack the rim.
And that's still accurate, I don't socialize with dumb people... at least not more than once. Let's face it my guy, I think you know that I'm certainly good enough at curating a guest list to exclude dregs such as yourself. When you exclude the feeble minded rabble and weirdos with celebrity worship syndrome, nonsense like this simply doesn't happen.
Booker is actually pretty strong. It's part of his current advantage over Green. Green has to do a lot more flashier things to get his buckets. While Booker has a stronger base that allows him to execute very simple one two dribble moves. Green currently plays like a 6'5" Allen Iverson. That requires a lot of energy to score. I hope Green adds a lot of the triple threat moves that Booker has. Booker doesn't have to score off of dribbles. He can be in a triple threat position and get off a clean look. Jalen doesn't do that much. He always starts his moves from a dribble. He can conserve a lot more energy if he learned how to score more like Booker than AI.
For the sake of accuracy, he shot 40.8% on 3s in March last year. Still KD/Curry type shooting efficiency though, so no one should be thinking these numbers for a career 33% 3pt shooter are possible. But he does need to be something like 80+% of what he was in March to be getting a max contract next offseason though.
His real hot streak was i think in the 45% range, he reverted back to normal by the end of the month so his average came down but that 8 game crazy run was at least 45%.
I'm not just talking about "alpha scorers". I'm talking about offensive impact. But I think you've closed your mind into this idea of what it means to have offensive impact (aka "alpha scoring", whatever that means), so we're probably at an impasse. Also, you can call me whatever you want. It won't help you convince me (or anyone) that you're right. Wait what just happened... There are still people out there who think Allen Iverson was an all time great? Dude was straight garbage (by all star standards). He had one successful year in one of the weakest conferences of all time with the most perfectly constructed team to highlight his strengths and hide his weaknesses. The whole Carter-graduation thing helped him get there, too. Harden meanwhile has never seen the promised land (just like Iverson), but he has seen much more consistent success with much more varied roles and teams, and objectively, measurably better performance in every single possible way except career average PPG. There is absolutely no valid argument for Iverson over Harden. If you won't even concede that Iverson is absolutely not worthy of that list, then our impasse is even more impassible than I thought.
Yeaaah, tbh dude I'm going to go with the opinions of all-time great NBA PLAYERS over some random dude on the internet who disagrees with them. No offense.
How many NBA finals appearances would Harden have if you transplanted the the 2014-2020 Houston Rockets to the Eastern Conference during AI's prime?
As far as I can see, nobody socializes with him here anyway. But he sticks his nose in everything. Unless you have him on ignore, he’s everywhere…
because March had everything, not just hot shooting. For some reason nay-sayers keep harping and hyper-fixating on 3pt% as if thats why he was awesome. It wasnt. He had many bad efficiency games. But what was there was everything else all at the same time. Good defense, good playmaking, good decision making, good rebounding, good facilitating, good attacking the rim and YES good efficiency. But even in those games he did not have good efficiency, everything else was still there. No amount of yelling at the moon about it was a "hot streak" is going to take that away. Its a simpletons way of continuing to latch onto their distrust of green. March would have be an amazing month for almost any player in the league, outside of say the top 5 players. To try and discredit it, AS ROCKETS FANS, is just weird imo.
Wouldn't expect that full season from 3, but with this guru shooting coach he could be at his pct last 23 game stretch which i think was around 36-37% And based on what was of the summer video his form looks more lined up releasing n follow through on shot..... Usually in contract seasons players show up, rather it be a fluke or they are that guy, or just get a max because the GM loves their guy like Cavs/Magic etc shelled out big deals to Wagner/Mobley etc Green needs to showcase 2 months of March and the rest of season at his 20+ game stretch I mentioned earlier and Stone will give him a extension .
Why? What have guys like Magic, Jordan, IT, etc. done as GMs that make you think they're good at evaluating talent? Do you think Lebron has done a great job when he's demanded guys like russ to be traded for?
If you're trying to project what he will be though, you have to look at all of the evidence. Obviously everyone would be thrilled if march jalen was real, but there's also 2021, 2022, oct/nov/dec/jan/feb/part of march/april jalen also that has to count
AI may have seemed to require lot of energy to score being he was basically the de facto 2nd-4th option for his prime Sixers yrs Green has more weapons so he should do like AI and just one dribble/crossover and be at rim or mid range
Dude, Philly was Iverson. Dude laid it all out there for the city, a player Shaq deeply respected and somewhat was anxious facing.... And doing that being 5'11-barely 6 feet. Can't say the same about James Harden. I consider Iverson as one of the Bball Icons that go beyond stats and accomplishments.....one especially 6 foot players should take a page from.
Man i know there's people here who hate harden, but saying that iverson was better goes beyond typical sports or even personal hatred. In a way, similar to when people were saying Klay was better, it's not just "ridiculous" or "asinine" or anything like that, it's just....bizarre.
Let me put it in no uncertain terms: Forum opinions by non-pros like you or I mean absolutely nothing in comparison to the opinions of the people who are the greatest players of this game we love to WATCH. Our knowledge aint **** compared to theirs. Why don't all these super-duper knowledgeable GM's get high paid pundit jobs compared to coaches or players? Oh, that's right, because math nerds don't know **** compared to the people who were actually the greats who played the damn game. This is the crux of why all your opinions are garbage, you think Morey and his number crunching matters more than Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neill and all the people who actually play the game. What has Morey ever done as a GM which makes you think he knows more than the guys who consistently WON at the sport he's done nothing but fall short at?
