Now you did express between 88-90. My first real show at the Summit was the Moving pictures tour.... Rush!! Saw Triumph with Molly Hatchet opening the following week. Then sadly Journey with Loverboy opening all were basically the same month.
Dude, I don't know if you watch reaction videos at all. But anyone seeing Xanadu live for the first time. They always freak out.
y'all think Whitcomb would have gotten to Harper's ball had he stay in the game instead of Altuve replacing him at 2B? even if Whitcomb got to harper's ball, i feel like astros would have lost in extra innings anyway with the upcoming batters.
My band played this at our "senior showoffs" in high school. 1988. I borrowed all the percussion equipment I could from the band hall. Chimes, gong, glockenspiel, tubular bells....my drumset was MASSIVE just like Neil's. My bass player had a Moog and he tied a popsicle stick to his foot so he could play it while he played the bass. We got a very lukewarm reception. The band after us played You're In Love by Ratt. They got a standing ovation. Turns out drunk football players don't really like prog rock.
I was watching highlights. Why didn't Singleton run to 3rd on Caratini's hit to right field in the 7th inning? Easily should've made it if he hustled and would've scored on the next flyball but instead we leave that inning with nothing. He has zero hustle.
Not surprised. Prog rock has always been my favorite genre and I have usually found my tastes in the minority when around others. This vid is from my own youyube channel
Today is basically set for an L after the bullpen got pushed hard yesterday JV should only be asked for 75 PC, so he'll be lucky to get 5 innings against a good offense -- he got 5 against Boston, so there's a glimmer of hope. Prepare for Scott multi-innings and a Ferguson sighting. Abreu could be available and other guys might go b2b days, but Hader and Neris are likely both off limits. Nola is a tough customer.. maybe the offense works another miracle. Whitcomb should definitely be in the lineup along with Altuve and the other usual suspects. Maybe the Mariners lose.. LOL
Yeah Scott, Neris, and Ferguson are likely going to have to cover 3-4 innings. Unfortunately the Phillies RP didn’t throw very many pitches so most of them should be available again if needed. Wouldn’t be a terrible idea to swap King out with Martinez or Dubin (or Whitley) to get a fresh arm up there.
It is excusable to me because in the offseason there was plenty of reason to believe 1B and LF would be good with Abreu and McCormick. Their only hope was to address it at the deadline and the market didn’t cooperate. Bad luck to have Abreu pass away and McCormick become terminally ill in the same season that ended up being he worst buyers market ever. If anything I feel like they should have called up Whitcomb a little sooner and played him at 1B and LF to allow Singleton and McCormick to effectively function as a platoon. But really if Tucker hadn’t gotten hurt I don’t think the issue would be nearly as glaring.
It could be 4+ innings. JV will have to be efficient to get 5 innings because he’s assumingly still not “fully” healthy. Neris 3 consecutive games?? — it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.
I started playing guitar because of Alex Lifeson and Rush. I know a large amount of their catalog; no tab or sheet music required. My first Rush concert was Texxas Jam at the Astrodome. Saw them every tour after that except for "Vapor Trails". My first concert ever was Triumph "Never Surrender" tour at Sam Houston Coliseum. It's still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. A definite top five. The light show was absolutely phenomenal and still the best I've seen. Sure, it's more tricked out with lasers and video screens since...but Triumph had this huge rack of rows and rows of lights hanging behind them that changed sequence with every note. It was mind-blowing.
