I didn’t use the ATM once while in Ireland. I already had a ready supply of Euros from when I was in Europe on January but also I just used a card that had no foreign transaction fees. I was going through expenses today and it was a relatively affordable trip. I was Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Athlone. Was driving so hit several other spots also.
Nice. We were based out of Tralee. Wife is a dual citizen a good many relatives there. We did Cork, Dingle, The cliffs of Moher. And spent our last night in Adare Mannor. Closer to Shannon Airport. Wife loved the English market in Cork and the dining on the side streets of the main drag. Actually had good wood fired pizza there. Traffic and parking was a b**** with the construction.
You were there very recently as of a week and a half ago there was still construction around the English Market in Cork. Did you check out The Pie Guy at the English Market? Great meat pies plus a really nice guy. My buddy with lived in the UK and loved Steak and Kidney pies. Those aren’t really an Irish thing, or a thing that anyone should eat, so the Pie Guy didn’t have any. He offered to make my friend some.
No we ate in the side street off the back entrance. But I did see his Nook. I did try the fermented ginger drink Guy. Wife was good till we got to the fish guys area then she was out. We were there during the Olympics. Cool to see RTE coverage. Cork was ok but reminded me of any semi large city. We took a drive on sleigh head past Dingle. Maybe the prettiest stretch of cliff and ocean I have encountered. You can see the Blasket islands from every pull off.
this is the default answer for trumpers whenever they get called out for indefensible comments. like when trump said he was being sarcastic after he got called out for telling us to inject ourselves with disinfectant.
Border crossings are way down after Biden actually decided to do something. The dollar wasn’t all that great when Trump left office. Remember - Trump was President, and for as much as they are trying to rewrite his Presidency, it wasn’t good or he would have won re-election. Republicans should have nominated a new candidate… because Trump served before and now with Biden stepping down, there is less to attack Harris with. Any solid/moderate Republican candidate should be up 5-6% in national polls based on the last 6-7 years in this country - instead the Republicans went with the guy tied to it all. Harris has wisely been cautious - but the difference in energy and relevance between Harris and Trump is loud. Lots of time left - Trump is more experienced as a debater and with the media, I think he wins but right now it’s far from certain. Trump loses in 2024 and he will go down as a huge loser- having lost the Presidential election twice…. Of course, he wins and he is the most important Republican politician since Reagan.
No she isn’t- but she only needs to beat Mr. COVID Bleach…. Sadly neither party nominates their smartest members.
Well looks like more fortunate than I thought. Luckily never got it. I also survived SARS, The rapture, Jack in the Box E Coli, Y2K, and E Bola so far. I'm a survivor.
What I mean by the power of the dollar is the economy, inflation, value etc. Should of clarified that. The economy might look good (numbers wise), but we all know everything is expensive, $100 ain't worth jack n most people are living paycheck-to-paycheck and/or are struggling. Yes the economy started to look bad by the end of Trump's term and lotta people blamed him how he handled the pandemic. Part of the reason why he lost. Like I said : economy ( people actually having money), border and foreign policy, usually determine the elections. Democrats failed/are failing in all 3 of those aspects but we shall see how it plays out.
If who you hire tells the story of who you are or what you believe in, there is zero room for Trump to distance himself from Project 2025.
It's literally in the title. It's his agenda for his next term. People however do not want it, and are justifiably appalled by it.
