I am enjoying the schadenfreude, but I kind of wish they had waited until later or the end of the season. This is the kind of thing that can bolster team's that are struggling, and the Mariners definitely still have plenty of talent. I suppose it could go the other way as well.

What position players has he developed? I'll give him the pitching staff for sure. He had 2 #1-ish MLB overall prospects that haven't totally panned out: Kelenic and Rodriguez. Who else?
This is kind of my fear as well. Last thing we need is for them to get a shot of adrenaline and go on a winning streak. Baseball is a crazy sport and we've all see that happen before. I would have much preferred they keep good ol' Scottie for the rest of the year. He wasn't very popular in the clubhouse or with the fans.
