That's close DaDa. It's actually not 2 bucks, but rather a $2 coupon off the next bag of Doritos with a team option for salsa dip.
So that means if they end up signing him for the rest of the year he'll get the rest of the bag of doritos?
Sure. But since he wasn't around during the beginning of the season, a bunch of the doritos have already been taken by the owner.
haha, so... come one 10 day conntract players, is it even worth of the effort to start a real thread?
Well I figure we can get the ha-ha posts out of the way until someone answers the question. Otherwise it'll just fall off the frontpage. Friend and me were wondering because we were like "I want to play in the nba!! Hell I'll take a 10-day contract!!" "Wait a minute...how much does one of those pay?"
Well I was being serious when I said this: Judging by what the Player's Union usually goes for, I think it makes as much sense as anything else.
I understand it is based upon that players years in the league...IE, Mark Jackson's 10 day contract was significantly higher than Mike Wilkes. DD
(the league minimum for ten days is nearly twenty-three thousand dollars) http://www.michaelshapiro.us/articles/ny_nba.html
According to this http://www.***********.com/minimum-nba-salary.shtml Years of Service 2004-05 0 - 385,277 1 - 620,046 2 - 695,046 3 - 720,046 4 - 745,046 5 - 807,546 6 - 870,046 7 - 932,546 8 - 995,046 9 - 1,000,000 10+ - 1,100,000 Minimum is 4,698.50 + per diem a game to a max of $13,414.63 + per diem a game. A 10 day contract usually has 4-6 games. So about $19,000 to $80,500 depending on experience. Not a bad chunck of change for 10 days. You might not even see any game action - only practice! Where do I sign up!
