I'll take this 15 GAME version of Green... Eryday Allday over the 8 GAME fluke stretch You know its sad when fanatics nerf players numbers (on team they root for) to keep their false narrative n weak rebuttals alive in their mancave bubbleworld
I know you're too dumb to know how averages work, but if you take an amazing 8 game sample and you dilute it with a mid to poor 7 additional games, it doesn't mean all 15 games were good.... it just means the 8 games were good enough to make up for the 7 that were bad. You should have finished high school.
I know you are too smart to know if you do something for a month in the NBA and you finish as winner or runner up Conf POM, you are not going to have half of your games be poor/avg.....maybe 3 and max 4.......and that goes for all players who have won/runner up as POM in either conference.....pull up the metrics and see for yourself.... And another thing about stats is winning masks those bad games in victory, they went 13-2 so those 3/4 bad games are null n void if they won them.....if they didnt, you can bask in your black hole of glory for those games (2) Your standard of judging NBA players is shaky at best .....you big ole dummy masquerading as a NBA savant who actually sucked at bball....stick to football Speaking of high school... They still teach Colon discovered America as a said New World, that has been debunked yrs ago... So are you sure finishing HS is getting truth/value when they promote the biggest lie ever as being historical truth? Sure math/science is good, all else is dogma at best, I Am being kind....you big ole dummy
The people questioning if he is going to even be a starter in his career are jokes when it comes to measured criticism. The main question that is actually measured: will Jalen Green break out as a all-star or fringe all-star as a Rocket or for another team. That is the reasonable and relevant question. If he wants to do it for this team this would be the year he makes a star leap. So ya it's a huge year for him. Jalen Green's floor barring no career derailing injuries is like a one time fringe all-star on a mid to bad eastern conference team. DLo level basically. It's up to him to be more than that.
Agree with this statement. There was a stretch of games where Jalen saw hardly any run in the 4th quarter and i think it was directly related to a lack of defensive focus....not too long before Jalen's March games. For the most part, Udoka stayed fairly consistent on how he was judging Jalen's development this year - the offensive efficiency would come and go but his message to Jalen was produce more consistent defensive effort and focus and everything else would fall into place. I think that's what we saw late in the year because even through that stretch of games where we started a win streak, Jalen had a few bad efficiency games but he was able to impact the game defensively enough that his team came out ahead regardless and that was ALWAYS the point from Udoka's perspective that he has to be able to contribute on both sides of the ball so he could weather the poor shooting nights. I even remember a few games where Jalen got a stop late in the game that had a direct impact on the outcome - wasn't that how that OKC game ended?
I agree. But to be fair I don't like how Jalen was being used by Udoka most the season. The team excelled when Udoka put a emphasis on playing faster, which is when Jalen had his surge. So part of Jalen's struggles could be on the coaching staff & lineup decisions
It's like there are three Jalen's .... The guy who shot 17.5% over 43 games. (from 3). The guy who shot 34% over 12 games The guy who shot 51% over 27 games. The expectation for me is that he has a whole lot fewer of those bad shooting nights and a whole lot more of the middle ground .... If he can flip those first two categories, 43 games @ 34% and only a handful of poor nights, he's what we were sold before the draft & we find someone else to complain about. I'll take the other 27 games as a bonus.
Over the years I have learned to hate stats like these. Someone posted one about the 22 game win streak and how no team with 20 wins in a row didn't win a ring. Then we lost in first round. also one when we traded for westbrook about two former MVPs on same team winning a ring, and we lost again.
I didn't say a single thing about Jalen in my post. You just assuming things. This was just literally about these never been done things before and how Rockets seem to always be the exception.
Try it. Maybe you'll feel something. And please don't play stupid. We understand you are doing this thing we call "downplaying. ".
If I wanted to talk crap about Jalen I would. I wouldn't do it in a cryptic way. I was just pointing out the Rockets somehow are always on the wrong side of those things.
