He should have spent all that time with Chris Paul.

What if he changed his name to Esteban Castillo - I'd get a kick out of that. Also he'd have to play with Cliff Paul.

For a player that supposedly cannot drive to the basket or finish - he sure does spend a lot of time in the paint.

He is definitely not just a spot up shooter like some people think.

He's not a spot up shooter for sure but this is summer league. I'm not surprised he got to the paint often.

    It’s weird - it’s almost like Reed is a point guard…

Green has improved his handle some in traffic- and is starting to look like a man physically. So damn quick..

Reed was training with Chris Paul before the draft and with Trae Young recently. Almost like a point guard would, indeed…

Yes, it's summer league. Whether he can do it in the NBA remains to be seen. What this video shows is his instinct. He doesn't just stand around to wait for catch and shoot or just jack up shots whenever he gets the ball. He attacks. He mixes up C&S from outside, driving to the hoop. driving and kicking, dishing to cutters, and stop and pop midrange. And he runs the floor in fastbreaks.

Isn't it expected for the 3rd pick to have a close to elite skillset?

He is getting paid 7-8 million from the get go, more than tons of other prospects to show his high floor.

Did you forget that this was a "weak" draft? The 3rd pick would be like #14 in other drafts. Role player confirmed. ;)

Weak in starpower but decent in fundamentals and solid consistency.

At least how every scout sold it

The piece that was starting to unlock last year was how to make his athleticism more functional -- better handle, better balance. He's a top 1% explosive athlete than never seemed to be able to get a dunk except on breakaways or breakdowns. One highlight, but that springy dunk off the drive with traffic is not something he would've done a couple years ago.
