If we are talking best CF in Astro history, I think you gotta go with Cedeno and his crazy numbers. Plus his defense in CF was apparently legendary. Patrolling CF in the dome was no joke. I never really saw the guy play for the Astros as I didn’t start really watching until 1980. So, since then I think you give it to Springer. In the playoffs I think you gotta go with Springer.

Prime years, it's Cedeno, he was a 5 tool player.

So far when Kikuchi pitches for the Astros, the Mariners lost 3 games in the standings.

Just how clutch is Yainer Diaz you ask?

Highest BA with RISP in MLB
    .394 Witt Jr.
    .373 Pasquantino
    .370 Perez
    .365 Diaz

Crazy the first 3 players are all Royals.

Diaz was the first player this season to have a batter timeout violation with 2 strikes.

    Astros 79-81

I have some memories of Joe Morgan as a Stro in '80...I'm pissed that I missed his prime.

I was 9 in 79 but that was my first game as I remember. Obviously had very little knowledge of who Cedeno was at that time but we continued to go to games until he was gone. My most memorable players for me are guys like Terry Puhl……

'79 was really the year I started remembering baseball.

Terry Puhl was my Dad's favorite Astro.

Mine was Billy Doran. Or Glenn Davis.

Yainer first walkoff Homer, but he did walk off the Rangers last year.

Imagine that bat in last year's lineup though.

Kenley Jackson has been one of the absolute best closers over the past 13 years.

His career era is a magnificent 2.53 and he's racked up 443 saves.

His regular season era vs the Astros is now 7.04 with only 2 saves.
