It’s too late, there isn’t any defense he can apply to the beginning of his career. Plus, peak Hakeem would mop the floor with him. David Robinson wasn’t quick enough for Hakeem so Jokic certainly isn’t. It would be a good battle but Hakeem would take the day.

I still have Hakeem over jokic all time so far but this is a real conversation.

    Jokic is that good.

Jokic is already an all time great and I love his game. Still, prime Dream would have shut him down easily. He was way too quick for him. Joker has never dealt with someone like him. No one in today's game is even close defensively. Offensively, Jokic would get humiliated. And again, I think he's an all time great. Dream was just that good.

it’s not a real conversation, but I think the media will trick the masses into putting Jokic ahead of Hakeem all-time

Hakeem was able to produce quadruple doubles and is the all-time leader in 5x5’s (at least 5 points, boards, assists, steals, and blocks in a single game)…he is 1 of the greatest defenders of all-time, and carried a team to a title as the 6th seed beating teams that won 60, 59, 62, and 57 games…the best team Jokic has ever beaten in a playoff series is the bubble Clippers who didn’t even want to be there coached by infamous choker Doc Rivers

if Hakeem was in today’s NBA, the difference between them would be absolutely staggering…borderline abuse in head to head matchups, and Hakeem would lead his teams to better success

No, it's not. It's farcical. Embiid could drop 40 on Jokic's head every single game in a 7 game series. Meanwhile, prime Dream embarrassed multiple top 10 all-time centers in the playoffs as his default.

Jokic is a savant in this era. Put Dream in this era and he would break the internet. Dream averaged 35/g in a series being guarded by Dennis Rodman and David Robinson...yeah, switch Curry on him through a PNR & see how many possessions b4 he fouls out the entire team.

I can't even begin to entertain this conversation if the starting point isn't an acknowledgement that if Dream played in the modern NBA they'd have to re-write the rules...again. In fact, F this topic. Dumb ****.

Quoted for truth. Not sure Jokic would make any third team NBA rosters over Dream, Robinson, Shaq, Ewing…

Do Bulls fans have a thread asking if leBron is better than Jordan?

    if not
Then real rockets fans should never have a thread about player X being better than Dream

For anyone old enough to have actually watched prime Hakeem this should be an easy answer. Close your eyes for a moment and picture Dream defending Jokic. Imagine the back and forth. Now imagine Jokic defending dream lol. I'm laughing while typing this.

Now open your eyes. Do you see any scenario or planet where Jokic can ECLIPSE Dream? This has to be one of the silliest questions on this forum. Dream dominated every top 10 center (of all time) that he faced. Jokic has never even played against an all time great at his position. This is where bs stats and analytics fail miserably. So please don't bring up any advanced metrics. Trust what you saw before you opened your eyes. Dream would humiliate Joker.

If you could start a team today. In 2024. Is anyone taking Joker over Dream? This is silly.

This has to do with all the hype that is surrounding newer players such as Durant, Curry and Kobe.

In my opinion only Lebron could arguably be taken over Hakeem given his elite allround skillset. But none other than him.

Duncan and Kareem would be in the conversation as well. I would take Dream over Magic.

Duncan is flat out better than Nikola, frankly spoken.

That's why I chose the defense option because it will never happen.

If he wins another ring it’s a lock since that probably means he gets a third MVP
