Americans overwhelmingly believe it’s cruel to deport them, which is something Trump promised to do as part of his plan to deport tens of millions. If, one day, they are provided a pathway to citizenship, here’s a tip: they aren’t inherently Democrat or Republican. They are simply human beings who can be persuaded and won over. If they end up being Democrats for life, it will be because Republicans have completely alienated them.
