we lead the division by 4. We aren’t “trying to get back in the race” Last year, we were actually trying to get back into the race and I never heard you once complain about sub .200 Maldy being in the lineup instead of .900 OPS Diaz. Chas normally bats 9th now. Why is this more of an issue for you? Especially odd since we don’t even have someone with a .900 OPS being blocked by Chas.
Astros 3.83 team era moves to 10th in the MLB rankings. At the pace we are going we might end up close to 2nd, only behind Seattle by season's end.
Astros now only 4 1/2 back of Cleveland (they just got swept). We play them to end the season, having won 2 of 3 already this year. Could it happen? Twins losing would be a very good thing.
Issue for “me”…. Not at all. I don’t actively complain when Chas is not in the lineup. I also don’t complain when he’s in the lineup (like plenty here). At this point, I just want him to get back to hitting lefties. Again, he’s going to have even more chances than he would have 2 weeks ago because of how the division “race” has devolved to figure it out (or until Tucker learns how to walk again).
We are 4 ahead of the Mariners. Could we still lose to them? I think we are all worried about that (I know I am). If so, to be consistent we should all be hopeful about the chances of catching Cleveland.
He's not hitting lefting and wont for the rest of this year. His swing and especialyy his timing is all screwed up. If he hasn't found his timing by this point in the season, then the chances of him regaining these things THIS YEAR is very low.
Turned out to be the only run of the game. Toronto benched the white hot Will Wagner for some reason.
I wouldn’t give up on Whitcomb. I like his approach at the plate. I think he will be a better option than any of the other minor leaguers this year and could still be an effective 8 or 9 hitter this year.
Wagner is going to be much better than White. But you've gotta give up to get in a trade and I'm pleasantly surprised how good Kikuchi has been and that Espada hasn't tried to force an extra inning out of him.
